  1. Its a designer clock, you know the place in BKK to get it? I am going to BKK in Feb to shop for my home...going to be a visual merchandiser for my home...haha
  2. No...dun get the backsplash from IKEA, it is not durable. Better to get from contractor but more ex lah...
  3. We have been in our "2 people world" for 8yrs +++ already, and in fact we are looking forward to a kid but we have just exhausted our money on our reno and wedding so need some time save up before having a kid. Then we are also thinking of going to Australia for a proper honeymoon before settle down with a kid but we will need to save up all over again if we go for this trip. Sigh...then we wanna have our 1st kid before we hit 30 loh....very contradicting hor. I also dunno how. I think a marriage is incomplete without children loh. I love kids and believe everything is worthwhile for a them. I have an empty room which I am looking forward to convert it into a children room, hopefully in the near future. I guess my design inspiration will only arrive when we know that we going to be father and mother.
  4. Hi Mist, Congrats that you are going to be a Mother soon! Well...Bintan is never a paradise for shoppers, things are limited and super expensive! Everything is double cost and in SGD. I got myself 2 batik prints that can frame up for my wall and my wife got herself some clothes and wooden batik cats from the shopping village.
  5. My wall colour is a customised paint that I got from ICI, the green in my living room is called Banyan Tree but I think it is no longer in the new season paint colour of ICI. It is a muted green. I think you can find something close from Nippon named Kiwi. Just browse through our T-blog for the pictures and ideas. Thanks, everyone wants a nice home to stay in...so have to put in extra effort to beautify our home.
  6. Here is the TAKE lamp... The cat looks like $80+ but I got it for $20+ from Vietnam, no sure if it is pirated but the feel of the cat is that same and even the brand label is the same too.
  7. Gosh...my blogchat is almost rock bottom of this forum. Got some new stuffs for our home during the christmas sale, we have a pair of new cushion covers, a pendant light known as FLY by Kartell, and in our bedroom we have replace the wedding lamp that we got from IKEA with 2 side table lamps known as TAKE by Kartell. Just back from our holidays in Bintan, things are rocket-high expensive but we cannot resist ourselves from buying things. We got some wooden batik cats and 2 batik prints for our home, shall post pics later...
  8. All the bad contractors should assemble at the Padang field and get shot to death like the Nanking Massacre!
  9. VERY VERY NICE.... I think your space is missing out some prints for the wall. Is the flooring of your dinner area and living room different?
  10. After so many saga with my contractor during the renovation, I get paranoid very easily when I see something not right at home. Recently I just realised that my horrible painter just paint things within his angle of vision becozs he never paint the back of my pipes...and the old pipes look really horrible.
  11. The hairline cracks are on our walls in the living room, study room and kitchen. The cracks are freaking me off. Hi Phoenix, Thanks...I enjoy the extra touch to our home, feel more personal compare to buying all the readymades.
  12. Does anyone know what is happening? My home is starting to have long hairline cracks here and there on the walls. My wife said that it is common in HDB flats...coz my mother-in-law's place have alot of cracks around the house. I never experience such cracks at my old home before.
  13. Wedding is over...Wanna go to Bangkok for a holiday trip and shop for our home but we are too late to book.
  14. Nice home! Great grabs for your home accessories...
  15. No...Blessings are never too late..Thanks. Wedding is over but we are still daydreaming about the sweet moments...
  16. Mine wasn't hectic but just find that the time passed too fast, have not enjoy the best moments enough. Luckily we have lots of photos taken and video documentation. Managed to cover the banquet with the Angbaos received but our ala-carte wedding package is from our pockets, roughly $8,000+. So a luxurious honeymoon gotta KIV for a while until our pockets recuperate, it is going to be roadtrip in Australia next year. It is kind of anti-climax that we have to actually wait till next year, so we have decided to have a short chillout trip to Bintan resort during christmas week. Wanna try BBK but the flights are fully booked, we went too late.
  17. Thanks for all the blessings from everyone! Been busy with wedding preparation for so long and suddenly everything just end like this, we are abit lost of what to do next. What we are doing everyday is do recap the moments, talk about it, watch the video, think about it....just waiting to see the photos from our photographer, heard that he enjoyed our wedding and went all the way shooting more than he has to shoot for us. The wedding is quite happening, the energy is much more hyper than we expected.
  18. Our room for the wedding day...dramatically and sexily pink! 2 days of wedding are over, time just passed too fast...we miss the both days, kept watching our video over and over again, laughing at ourselves! Its sweet...Its our day! Nice weather for outdoor shoot, many relatives strike lottery from the numbers we picked and we had a small winning of 4D ibet for our wedding car but not enough $$$ to cover the $$$ we bet. Everyone is happy... Sweet memories...
  19. My big day is just few hours away, gotta wake up 6am tomorrow morning and get gear up in my Be-Spoke suit and armed with loads of ang baos and a bouquet. Been super busy with work, life and wedding preparation...can see that my blogchat is almost rock bottom. Just finish cleaning and doing up the house for tomorrow...here are some shots!
  20. Hi... Gosh...I love your home setting! Can see that you put in alot of effort in picking the home accessories...
  21. I think artificial flowers are pretty easy to maintain coz people also give them a very nice name in the floral industry and that is " Everlasting Bloom". They do not wither and no need to water them...but the quality is very important because the cheap ones may have color fade off after some time. If they are dirty, you can always wipe them or rinse them under running tap.
  22. Went to Tangs at Vivo just now. Their artificial flowers at Tangs are quite reasonable too....slightly more expensive than Concourse but better quality. There are some discount going on right now...
  23. Some wallpaper design that I have attempted, actually recycled and modified from a project at work Dunno what to do with them yet...maybe for a feature wall or canvas in the future? The colours make me feel so child-like, I am looking forward to design a kid's room someday. Probably the opportunity will knock on my door when I have my own kids...by then I can behave like a kid again to do something kiddish and fun.
  24. Nice home you have...very drama! I saw a similar Rose canvas at IKEA recently, it is probably a new item and therefore it is selling like hotcakes...the price is like $99 for a big print. If your print has a string or steel wire at the back, you can probably loosen it to make the print drop lower when you hang it. I went to shop for artificial plants at concourse over the weekend. I went to Steve Florist and got quite alot of good stuffs too...the best deal is the vases, buy 2 get 1 free. Alot more cheaper and more varieties compared to IKEA. Steve's flowers are the best for budget price...very realistic. Wanna get twigs too but they charge me too ex...$1+ per twig and how much I need to fill up a vase if they are all skinny twigs? So most probably I am buying a packet of fresh twigs from a fresh flowers distributor which is cheaper and somemore I can bend them and let them dry up to form the shape I want. My wife picked some artificial flowers and I am using them to do up another corner of our home...will post pic when it is ready. Cheers
  25. Erm...I dunno what is the name of the antique shop at Arab st but the location is just behind the mosque where all the shophouses are...that shop sell alot of retro stuffs and some old toys like those wooden tops, paper balloon, bouncing balls. Recently just went to that shop to take my wedding photos...super cool place. Another area that you can hunt is at East coast or Katong areas, that are alot of shops selling such items but I have not check the price.
