We are neither the owner of the firm or anyone of relationship. We are just customers of the firm and giving a review which is based solely on our opinion in our case. The below is writer by my brother, he's more of a writer than I am. So here you go: Deciding on a good, respectable and talented interior designer firm is not an effortless task. Every house owner will constantly be fearful and apprehensive of choosing the wrong designer after signing the contract. For my house, I went to Expo to select a few designer firm as well as through magazines and through a friend etc. In full I decided on 10 interior designer firm after talking to them. The 10 interior designer firm I selected were those with proposal and ideas that I visualized and fancied their concepts. More than often, after the preliminary sales talk, they would purely draw a simple layout plan and invite us to have a discussion with myself and my family members. They would exhibit their showroom to us and the discussion would always take more than 2 hours. After that they would positively try their ways and means to make us sign the contract. After visiting so many interior designer firm, Some are extremely expensive, with terrible layout plan and some have countless hidden cost that is not written down on the contract. Although able to be on the same wavelength seems to be significant but don’t ever forget the interior designer must be Responsible, Accountable and Dependable. Initially a few interior designer gives me the impression that we are able to connect but after further discussion, I realized Responsibility is more of paramount. Before we decided to sign the contract, we made a difficult decision between Plush Living and Crescendo Interior & Lifestyle Pte Ltd as both have the ideas we sought after and pricing wise appeared comparable. We had a 4th and 5th meeting with these two companies before we made up my mind. We took down all the fine details and what they intend to do as well as the material use etc. Do take note with awareness to what they are going to do to your house as some would use substandard material, some would use incorrect and illegal method. After the final discussions, we decided to sign the contract with Crescendo Interior & Lifestyle Pte Ltd as we find David the Interior designer and his wife Melissa incredibly dependable and trustworthy. That’s the feeling they gave us. They also did our brother house 10 years back and his house is still in good condition. We then met up at his office. They are so pleasant, forthcoming and we talk about yet again what we in reality wanted. At the initial outset, I had my doubt on them as Crescendo Interior & Lifestyle Pte Ltd did not update their website and I did not see any design that I am enthusiastic about. But David and Melissa comprehend what I had in mind as I kept relating to them my plan and what I am fond of. Melissa then brought out countless pictures of completed projects done by them. By then, I was ultimately thrilled and delighted seeing that they perceived what I wanted and the greatest thing is they are exceptionally accommodating and everything can be discuss. Once the layout plan is out, we went to his office to discuss further. He and Melissa was thoughtful and considerate enough to give advice on what ought to procure and what not to buy. The layout plan was amended as I had certain preferences and David gave his professional advice to us. I was fortunate enough to choose them as I realized that many other interior design companies proposals are against the law of HDB. One company had even suggested to stint on materials to save money and kept declaring to me it will be fine. Luckily I did not listen to him as that proposal is meant for laying of road within private estate. Once the layout is affirmed, David said it would take a while before the 3D drawings is out. Anxiety and eagerness kicks in as we waited patiently and uncomplainingly for the 3D drawings. At the same time, Melissa gave us a list of the items that we need to procure such as TV, Dryer, Washing Machine, oven, refrigerator and soundbar etc. She told us to source for all these items as they need the exact measurement. Other items such as lightings, furniture, sanitary products were also required. The day came when David and Melissa Whatsapp us and informed us that the 3D drawings were ready and would sent us via email and we were so thrilled and concerned on the outcome. When we saw the email, we were ecstatic, elated and in fact overjoyed with gladness. We are so delighted we had chosen Crescendo Interior & Lifestyle Pte Ltd. Almost immediately my family and I had another discussion with David and Melissa to choose the wardrobe design, laminate design, flooring design and many others stuffs. It takes more than 3 hours, we are tired and weary but David and Melissa were ceaselessly at attention explaining to us the fine details and the pros and cons of having such material etc. In next to no time the real renovations work started after getting a permit from HDB. According to David, the renovations would take 3 months as it involved a lot of works and coordination from contractors. We hacked the floored and several walls, basically David removed everything things from the old deplorable, nauseating, filthy house and my family and I waited patiently for a miracle to happen. My family and I wanted a genuine transformation and we yearn in anticipation and eagerness. Every day and most of the time, I would go up to see how my house is being transform and more than often I would see David supervising there. I was so impressed with his meticulousness and responsibility. He wanted to make sure everything is in good hand and the renovations goes well without a glitch. Gradually, everything starts to form up, the feature walls, all the carpentry done, the tiles, the laminate flooring, my goodness of mercy altar, the toilet, all the black colored glass and mirror and many other stuffs. All the negligible, insignificant trivial issues faced in any renovations were solved by David the moment I called h The “before” and “after” pictures of my house are up in this t-blog. They even gave us recommendations on wall paintings and accompanied us to buy stuff just to make sure our colour combinations suits our furnitures and feature walls. They are in actuality marvellous. I must expressed appreciation and gratefulness to them for making my house so cosy, exceedingly nice-looking and everyone was in admiration and gave excellent remarks when they came to my house for house warming.
