hi mer-cury, my contractor is no longer running his own business, and is working for an ID firm instead. the wardrobe, if i recall correctly, cost less than $3k, as he charged me direct carpenter prices.

Hi mer-cury, Yes, i've a 20cm pelmet opening built into my wardrobe. Initially i was thinking of adding a pocket door, but i chose using a curtain in the end. Here's a picture of a shot from the front of the wardrobe. It's just a thin curtain, but good enough to keep the air-con out of the wardrobe area. Your idea of a dresser area is definitely a good one. it can also be made as an extension of the wardrobe configuration. And yes, that's true, shifting your toilet door to the centre region would give you more space for that dresser.

Thanks for the compliment!

hi bleucheeze, they are both from IKEA. the spice rack actually comes with 3 tiers, but i removed the middle one, in order to fit the small sized soya bean sauce bottles.

hi iwantto, it is a basic delonghi expresso maker. i think i last saw this at Tangs basement. i got it as a 10th yr anniversary gift.....from my ex-company. i think it cost about mid $300. http://www.delonghi.com/sg_en/products/icona-eco-310bk/ heehee....thanks.....i have always been surprised by some amazing late season storms, so praying for the same this trip.

Hi mer-cury, sure, i will be glad to help. This is what lies behind the pocket door. On the right is a storage rack 1.8m length in length, with 5 storage tiers. On the left was actually the area that i use to keep everything else out of sight....lol. I also found a pretty accurate draft of my layout for your reference. If my memory serves me right, i think no permit was needed for the MBR sink extension, as it is not considered as a "wet area". For my WIW, the shelves were 50cm in depth on both sides, with a 90cm walking space in between. Let me know if you need any more information. Cheers.

It has been a whole year since i'd moved in, and with CNY around the corner, my first spring cleaning. Yeah....(and so i thought) When the house was relatively new, whenever i need to clean it for a forthcoming housewarming party, it was usually a relatively simple wipe down. I just did not realize a thorough job would require about 3 steps, i.e. initial scrubbing away of dirt and oil particles, a second step of wiping down to reveal the almost clean surface, and a last step of polishing to make everything shine and sparkle again. It feels almost like washing and waxing a few MPVs, and i suspect the job will be tougher next year..... Lol. I And with the house spotlessly clean for the moment (i know it will not last long), nothing better than to do a photoshoot. Here are some pictures. Enjoy. And HUAT AH to all for that NEW YEAR! View from the kitchen entrance. Main worktop area. Lighting for the kitchen. My smoking corner.

i think vpost declares to SG customs at parcel level. thus if you split your amazon purchase into 2 checkouts, and thus 2 parcels, both parcels can be 399.99 and you will be ok. -

when in doubt, call your HDB branch office. There will be an officer that is in charge of renovation matters and he usually can answer most questions.
