love your kitchen design. so much functional top area, no need to keep any appliance into storage. mine is similiar, but i had different wood grains, and i use off-white and some black for a little contrast. some points you are consider to keep the cost lower. 1) instead of glass backing, can consider glossy tiles. they are relatively cheap. my contractor was kind enough to sponsor me the free tile backing considering his margin made on the kitchen. 2) tabletop are not cheap. based on pfr, one feet of it cost almost the same as the lower cabinet itself. you can consider using a similiarly shaded laminate on the counter top on the right sided bottom cabinet. of course, laminate is not as tough as any real kitchen top, so that area will need to be a dry area. advantage....it should cost you next to nothing if you select this option. 3) forgo the top shelf. dollar for dollar wise, they offer little storage space as compared to the botton shelf. or build a smaller one in the section that storage space is really needed. hope this helps.

sweet media room....and the perfect paint color for the room as well. may i ask for the color code? i tried getting this grey twice, and still cannot find the correct one. my grey still has a slight blueish hue under white lights.

with professional installation where the correct points are secured, it should be.

the lioncity one should be ok. most brands are about 58*58 to 60*60. so the universal kit should work. my replacement dryer was from them, and they help me install the stacking kit correctly the second time round. see whether they are willing to sell and install for you for a small fee. if you buy an appliance from them, i would think they would do it for free.
-
i got mine for free when i bought my washer/dryer set. the kit fits the washer and dryer perfectly. at the electrical shop in kallang leisure mall. i think there is also another kind that you can mount on the wall, if the kit does not fit your new washer.
-
shuold be able $50. you need to ask the shop if it is a generic kit or a brand specific kit.
-
it is best to buy compatible brands that has a connecting stacking kit. i bought both for a package price. if buy individual it will cost more. and stacking kit is usually thrown in free. if you need recommendation for shop, i got lo-bang. cos the distributor's repairmen told me where the cheap shops are. also check out my blog for my washer/dryer mishap.....(so you can avoid them)

Laminating Existing Kitchen Cabinet/ Wardrobe
getzski replied to gianfrance's topic in Carpentry Works
you can keep the cabinet carcass and changing the door (to laminated) and having new hingers, drawer tracks....etc. shoud look and feel like new after that. get a carpenter to come and evaluate your existing carcass condition first. -
i got my 50" full HD plasma for 999. need to source around other than the usual suspects. one neighboorhood shop even quote me 700++ for a 50" LCD. and....if you are in the big shops, negotiate....yes you can....

sim lim tower. a lock shop on the higher floor(2nd or 3rd). on your left when you take the up-going escalator.
-
i love my 3th floor now. but i hate the 3rd floor of the previous 10 units i visited. so my experience is....even you had seen low floors that you don't like, just keep visiting. you should come visit some of my ground floors in my area....they really have their own private gardens, and it is tucked in a quiet little corner. and btw, not all low floors are of the low COV kind.

your ID the very calculative type. when reno starts, you and him must have an agreement. if you ask him to do/fix anything, and if that cost extra money, he should not start doing it until he inform you of the extra cost.
-
maybe you can help me do the adjustment when you come for house visit....
-
those ID you speak to are "trainees". the expo is their breeding ground...lol
-
how to play with it when i'm by myself? i wish there is a remote for this.....lol.

this is not exactly through. different contractors live with different levels of profit margin. different contractors also have different professionism standards. the same contractor also may have different teams doing the same work (e.g 2 teams for tiling work), and hence 2 houses done up by same contractor, you may hear different opinions from the owners about the worksmanship.

may, what is your setting on the gas heater? i still haven't figure out the perfect combination.
