i bought a panasonic U series 50" FHD for 999, but it is a display set that was used for 4 months. comes with full warranty though. i think a new set now sells for about 1300. nothing fancy about this though, no 3D, no fancy statisitcs, got a LAN connection but only connected to facebook and shoutcast. i use my china media box to stream my network movie though, so i do not need any fancy feature TV.

on most nights, it is sufficient for me to just use my 2 LED tubes to throw an upfront onto the ceiling, and it is bright enough to illuminate the living,dining area. but....you can't read newspaper or magazines.

10 years long enough... i am using e LAMINATE friendly liquid solution. you take a cloth, soak it, wring it dry, then mop. fyi. i use my feet to mop. two clothes on 2 feet, and i just walk and mop. very efficient and clean.

might be possible. you may have to buy a multi-point remote module, and then connect all the lights to it. but it is probably to turn on and off only, and cannot do any special features on that one particular light.

yes....guangzhou shunde. the furniture megamall of the world. a 10km stretch of shopping malls selling just all kinds of furnishing. i had a friend (landed property) who needs big sized furniture like 10 seater sofas and such, she went to shunde for 5 days and bought back 20ft container worth of furnishing. perhaps we can organize a group shopping trip....haha...with the combined purchases, maybe we can fill up a full container and split the cost. i think a 20ft container is about 1800, but that excludes any port handling charges, which may come up to a lot as well.

try asking about the country of origin of the replicas on sale in the local shops!....

very good point. i did not factor this into consideration previously. so now i have to dry-mop my laminated floor every 3 days. but it is only a 15m job, so it is not so bad.
