well...the smallest ones (5cm by 2cm) may be good to clean jewelery....lol

daiso has one section just selling magic sponge. very easy to spot. remember to buy those BIGGER piece type. not those 20 small ones in a bag.

here's another DIY trick. wipe the table top with a little vinegar. vinegar kills the scent trail that the previous ants left behind, so when new ants do come again, they have no trails to follow. this one i tried personally....kinda work. for a few days after i wipe down, no ants came to visit.

a black country top was my original idea too. but the white top really brightens up the kitchen, and with the black shiny backsplash, it creates a nice contrast. i would suggest the LG counter top, slightly more ex than normal solidtop, but better quality. about 110 pfr i think.

the ants are never around the sink.... my ants don;t like those baits. i open one can, and they did not even touch it for a whole week. i realise sometimes it is not food that attracts ants, even a water source on the table top attracts them. and since i start at the 3rd floor, i am just their next door neighbor on the ground floor la....can't really stop them for a visit. lol. a real HAPPYCALL? yeah......

i only remember her door lock.....lol. and that she has an indian neighbor.

hi valerie, the electrician that i PM you, they also have a shop in Jurong east that sells lights. (not those arty farty types) they are very reasonably priced. and if you buy both product and services, you get special price. my sister also did track with spot lights at her house without false ceiling. the track runs across the length of the living room. track light gives you the flexibility to add/remove the holder any time, and you can adjust the holder angle, i.e. some lights can be used to shine on paintings, others for ambient lighting....etc. if you do downlights, don't forget to include every downtime is considered one lighting point. i think you need to add up another $30 per point in your electrical cost.

on white top, little ants are also very visible too.

floor can "upgrade" to laminated flooring without hacking in the future....one baby step at a time, as long as you leave provisions for the upgrade.

i'm very diligent leh....i've housecleaning scheduled set up. every day i will wash one item in the house.

heehee...that one is a pre-move-in condition la.....my tiler, plumber, painter wash all kinds of rubbish in the sink.

i can only think of these 2 culprits.

suppose to join to the main sink water outlet, via a overflow adapter connected to the overflow miniature hole. the little hole on the top right..... swee or not? my Flanco.

omg....i just checked....it is a FLANCO! the overflow outlet is that small little hole near the top right corner. they gave me an overflow pipe/adapter, but it does not match. i think the pipe/adapter was meant for Lago, which was my previous choice that went out of stock. i think they will let me exchange, but my C-- plumber one kind, say he will not come back another day.

and to top...they did not give me a overflow pipe that can connect to the sink. now my overflow outlet is just a dud.

sigh.....i got duped into buying the prototype....lol.
