    foam is porous and is bound to be compressed after a while, no matter how many layers you use. i thought a better option is to cement creed the hole in between your old parquet floor, before over laying with laminate.

    not worth it....cos you will get standard boring designs for those options. this is almost market price, which you may be able to get nicer design and perhaps better quality ones too. you may also consider asking your neighbors who are not opting in to opt in, get the parts, and resell to you. then you only need to pay installation fees.

HDB will build a bridge to connect the lift opening to my preexisting door, and they will "wall up" my excess area which is currently being fenced. Saintinity will get a new door at the balcony though. Holler if you need any help k ....

    call your HDB area office, and ask for the technical officer in charge of your block. He will likely be able to give you a concrete answer if you can get a hold of him. If he says no, then no point submitting the proposal.

    yup....working from home. no worries....there's like a full fledged renonvation in this block and the one opposite once every 2-3 months, so got used to it. and it will never be as annoying as the late night MRT casting works in the wee hours of the morning.
