  1. i wanna guess it is "BLUuM"...lol talk to your contractor/ID first, and seek their view on the reliability of this brand.
  2. molek near the main road dividing molek and ros merah, or deeper inside molek? the MEI GUANG shop i told you about is just somewhere around the molek/rosmerah junction.
  3. talk to your carpenter.....they may know of "chiong" BLUM that works very much like BLUM (when new).
  4. usually i don't think twice when buying from ebay, when seller has a high feedback score. they usually responds to your questions, as well as any aftersale issues.
  5. ros merah MEI GUANG they have quite a lot of replicas there too. but too many in a small space. you get headache trying to look at them
  6. SGD200 for all 3. from SZ. http://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/Modern-Tom-Dixon-Beat-light-abc-beat-light-3PCS-Fat-Tall-Wide-made-CHN-/170837721017?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27c6b8bfb9
  7. can consider LED downlights too at rm70. that's the price i'd paid for 6" 11W. quite bright, and low heat emitting. another alternative....from ebay. http://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/special-LN-LED-Ceiling-light-5w-Downlight-White-Light-Black-Edge-matte-texture-/110879995060?pt=US_Chandeliers_and_Ceiling_Fixtures&hash=item19d0f674b4 http://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/UNIQUE-Design-LN-LED-ceiling-light-3w-white-warm-Cabinet-style-home-benefits-/110874313827?pt=US_Chandeliers_and_Ceiling_Fixtures&var=&hash=item5f7c6605dd http://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/TWINS-14W-LED-recessed-Ceiling-light-Downlight-Fixture-Alumi-DGT-LEDs-NEW-/110875949361?pt=US_Chandeliers_and_Ceiling_Fixtures&var=&hash=item5f7c6dca47
  8. my window uncle gave me 10 pairs already. but i'm not happy. it is not suppose to dropped out after only limited uses. this simply reflects the low quality of the window handles that they are supplying.
  9. i tried scrubbing it using a magic sponge with some success. managed to get half of the buildup cleared, but i had to sacrifice one sponge doing so. initally wanted to use the metal bristle brush, but i had mislocated it somewhere in the house, so i tried the magic sponge instead.
  10. not exactly. these are usually charged at $XXX psf.(depending on your chosen finishing) but you will have to draw the requirements to the carpenters, or at least shown them the pics, and they will then propose what they think they are able to achieve. if the ID designs for you, of course the price will be extra special too A 4m long laminated cabinet should cost about 2500 and up. and while you are at it, don't forget to incorporate the electrical cables, power switches, AV cables, and even lighting points all within the carpentry.
  11. i've a 30L Joven and it usually takes 10 minutes. if i take a shower, there's usually some left over warm water for a quick shower the first morning.
  12. i had similiar issue during my reno. two items was not approved, so i gave the HDB officer a direct call, and asked about the rejection reason. turned out that he misunderstood what the contractor wanted to do(hacking), so i gave him a verbal explanation on the exact works that are required, and he gladly approve immediately.
  13. when the kid reaches the age to get a driving license.....
  14. congrats! show more pics of the completed reno leh!
  15. aiyoh....better install a wall mounted portable fire extinguisher in your kitchen.

  17. thanks calliecats. good enough for me....time to explore little india!
  18. do i need to remove the "connector" first, and then insert a PVC pipe with bigger dimensions over it? i was also thinking about hand-plastering or cement-screed that section, like that way you would mold clay. do you think that would work too? p.s... told you my plumber was a C-- grade one.....lol.
  19. Hi Calliecats, may i have the contact of the shop that did the painting framing for you? thanks in advance.
  20. if you post your floor plan here, i'm sure there will be kind souls here that would contribute good ideas for your consideration.
  21. half of the ID i went to did come back with at least a sketch, but most of them had sketch what they wanted to do(so as to maximize profits), and not factoring my requirements. don't be dishearten. just keep on reaching ouyt, you will find one that is experienced enough, and knows what you want.
  22. help i need some advise. My water supply comes from the ground floor. The joining pipe is in a state of disgrace, in terms of appearance. Does anyone has any ideas what i can do to retify this?
