I also heard can only do overlay. Even though your ID did the permit thingy for you, you can check the permit details via HDB website. They'll also send hardcopy via snail mail to you. If HDB approves, then no issue... Just curious only cos I didn't know can hack, else I might also consider doing so -

Yes, new BTO. Gotta apply permit to do hacking & removal of toilet metal door frames. Contractor helped us submitted and the applications have been approved! Heard that the toilet door frames tend to rust & my dad said we'll regret if we don't remove them! -

Key collection: 4 Mar 2012 - Completed Spoke to and got some quotations from a few IDs & contractors. More or less going to confirm a contractor we spoke to. She seems quite 'zai' and the quotation seems reasonable. She's going ahead with the application of HDB permit, the hacking of walls & removal of toilet door frames. Next meeting will be this coming Sat on site. She'll help us check for defects & show us some drawings etc... *excited* -

Thanks for your suggestion ValerieLow.. Cannot use sliding if do L-shape wardrobe and it'll be small too -
Considered shifting MBR toilet door but also no use. Cos even if shift, I still won't be able to build a bigger wardrobe as it will obstruct the walkway into the room.

Hi I'm thinking of doing this for additional wardrobe/storage space w/o having to "sacrifice" Bedroom 2. Need some advice whether this is feasible. Can share with me where r u all planning to put ur wardrobe? Thanks!

u mean the wardrobe outside the MBR's toilet? That's the only place we can put wardrobe & will not block the window for air con ledge -

Very sad that our MBR is very small, hence we can only have a 5ft wardrobe Toying with the idea to have more storage space w/o having to hack whole wall betw MBR & Bedroom 2 by doing this: Any comments / other suggestions? -
