Sounds like a cheat code to save keep the CPF! From what you wrote, it means that HDB will definitely suck away all of the remainding CPF in the OA for financing of house?

Hi guys, Just want to have a better knowledge on the different options I have to pay up for a HDB house. Most common methods used by most are a payment via CPF and taking a bank loan. In either case, they will have to pay a downpayment for their new house of 20% either through CPF/Cash. After that, the remainding amount will be paid through installments to HDB either from the CPF or bank loan. Given my scenario, I have a house which I sold off for eg. $400K and bought a new house from HDB for eg. $600K. The difference which I have to pay is $200K. I would like to know if I do not wish to pay by CPF or take a bank loan, would I be able to use cash and pay HDB monthly? Or the HDB requires one to pay fully the house, in this case through CPF/Bank and we in turn pay the CPF or bank? An kind souls care to share?

Did you remove the original basin of the HDB flat and built a platform in it's place?

Does your house comes with all the basic tiles are flooring done? Or did you pay another amount to have them made by HDB?

If you get them in one piece would be better. Mine was in two pieces and the adhesive glueing the two chipped off.Now the ants have made their home there.

Just curious, is your house a new house from HDB? Do they allow you to hack away the toliet and kitchen floorings to put your own?

Just a casual question, I know there are two ways to mount a sink, undersunk and sit-on-top, maybe there are more so perhaps someone can enlighten me. Either way, the undersunk type seems to be given more problems like leaking and stuff right?

Just wanna ask about your sound system, did you get Bose to go down to your house to advise you of the place to install your speakers?

So you opt for no tiles when you purchased the house from HDB? Any rebates from HDB? So I presume you just layed the tiles on the kitchen floor since it can bare. For the toliet, HDB don't allow you to hack the tiles away and redo them? Any idea why? Is it the waterproofing layer?
