Hi Guys Sorry for the lack of feedbacks, been travelling and now back. Totally agreed with you on quality mechanism and fabrice for the blinds. I am leaning towards the blinds plus wall paper on one side of the wall closer to the blinds. Beautiful.

Hi Michie28 I went to the one at Northstar Building and one along Geylang Road and one along Katong. Apologise for not giving the name of the shops bcos I cannot remember and I did not bring it to my office.

Hi piknik too late ler lah. anyway, i am thinking maybe i will not choose HDB's tiles cos i wanted to get timber looking like tiles for the bedrooms. so if i choose HDB's tiles, we might end up hacking later on. anyway, do tell me how you think of the tiles by HDB when you get yours okie.

Hi edenstrauss There is no offense on your comments but rather you are someone I am willing to take an honest opinion on. Everybody is entitled to go in to a business and make a profit, there is no argument on it. Otherwise, why even go into business. However, it is when one is trying to get obscene profits that it is not right anymore. I feel what is wrong with the society right now is that most or everyone definition of success is measured by monetary gains or how much monies one is making or how much one has purely with what he owns, his bank accounts, kind of cars he drive, etc. There are too many Service Providers, that including doctors, FSMs or what have you, that instead of putting their hearts out into servicing the people first and then getting their just rewards, thinking of self first. So we ended up not the much wiser. There are too many FSMs out there that would do this: if you buy this and this and this or if you don't pay me this and this and this, do not expect me to serve you kind of attitude. It is enriching oneself first that matters. Call me old school if you like, but I came from an older generation where success is not measured thus. I have never fulfilled my potential that I was given and never will, and I do agreed with you that success must from own hard work and achievement will be sweetest to savor then. The crystals and placement are there to improve ones confidences (mentally) and the by-products then will allow for a harmonious home, an achievement that should be well celebrated, because there is nothing more important than ones family.

After rushing through the weekend, we are now leaning towards the blinds as they can offered easy maintenace as well as giving good complement to the design of the house. There are quite a nice selection of fabrice and design on blinds, much to my surprise.

The problem is the tiles from HDB are not too bad nowadays. The problem is we cannot visualise the end product and having to pay for the tiles and then hacking it away will be such a waste of money in my opinion. Another issue is selecting own tiles create another problem of its own as being a layman, newbie, noob on tiles and selecting based on ones liking could create a situation of regrets and issues in the near future. By the way, how you all feel is the quality of the timber doors from HDB?

I am looking at quartz crystal, preferably the purple 'cave type' and the white quartz that is shape like iceberg pointing upwards. And as mentioned in another post, a pair of white elephants, best if made of ivory. About consultation of fengshui master, I have my reservation because I believe there is some truth in certain rumors about fengshui masters 'stealing' from individuals with superior bazi or life destiny to enriching themselves. So the trust is not there. And the truth is how many fengshui masters are actually working to enhance the life of others more than themselves. This is my personal thoughts and no intention of slant. So the best thing is to hear from forumers who more or less are not out to give advice with the objective of profiting from you. This is my personal opinion once again. So what is your takes on purple 'cave' quartz crystals and the white 'icebeg' quartz crystals? They are both originating from South America.

hi wewiretheworld, so you are suggesting that we look at combining both curtains and blinds as an option? certainly a suggestion worth considering. what are the few places/companies you suggest we should go looking for the curtains and blinds? I have been to the ones at Northstar and Joo Chiat.

is it better to use the tiles n doors from HDB or is it better to get them on our own. any suggestions?
