may i know why is the installation charges so high? I thought the normal charges are around 80 dollars.

Just saw this post after buying my new gas hob at Audiohouse. Apparently Straaten is no longer the distributor for La Germania. The new distributor is Capital Marketing. its a big OEM brand from China. I am sure they manufacture for many European and American appliance houses, somewhat similiar to Hai-er. They are slowly branding themselves over the years. But i think there is still a substantial difference in terms of quality and material.

Think im joining the conversation very late. Would need your expert advice as i am unable to find a replacement for my old la germania in the current market. (Strangely i cant seem to find any distributors in SG now, only PH) Anyways if i am looking for a similiar type with same capabilities, should i be looking for the de dietriches and gaggenaus? Or SMEGs and Mieles? Or should i just look for the more main stream brands? Thanks!

Trying to change the hob and hood set in my old condo. Its a La Germania and I wonder if they are still around because i would like to replace the set. But i hardly see them around these days?
