My dining area. Previously this was a store room but i have decided to relocate it and convert the space as dining. My living room viewing from kitchen entrance. Main door and gate will be changed after everything is completed. My LED bulb for dining and living. LED bulb for my feature wall display cabinet.

Got a soild surface top sample from my contractor and did the below testing. Applied coffee and dark soya sauce on the soild surface at 9am. Cleaned off on the same day at 5pm and the surface looks unstained. Note : The dark spot on the right is actually the defect from my HP camera..

It has been some time since i last updated my reno progress. Some updates as below : Laminate Flooring arrives today and they will be doing the installation by tomorrow. 3mm underlay

Thank you May_dream1. I am targetting everything to be completed by 3rd week of July. Currently left with painting(will complete by thursday), followed by laminate flooring(scheduled on this Friday), furnitures and electrical appliances to be delivered on the 10th July. Kitchen cabinets and feature wall carpentry will be ready around this timing too. Lastly, will be my main door/gates/toilet bi fold doors to be in.

Hi LLChing, Sad to say that my reno is still in the 75 - 80% of reno progress. Currently doing painting and my laminate flooring will commence on this coming Friday. I do have some pics to share but none of the pics will shows any completed area. Kitchen carpentry work was up on last tuesday but now it is on hold again(need to redo 1/3 set of it) as there is some dispute going on with me and my contractor's super low EQ manager. We had a serious arguement on last friday which i dun think i will want to mention more. Just hope everything can be completed by mid July..

Yes, I can only choose between Asuka and 3S. I think i read his posting too that is why i am worried now.

Haven't gone up for the last 3 days, so dun know progress. Being a perfectionist, I think the lesser I see, the better for us all. Otherwise, I'll :bangwall: whenever I see any minor flaw. Stress everyone out! kekeke. Haha.. Cant help to write in my thinking after seeing the above. I LIKE !! Me too, i will visit my house daily during lunch time when drinks and snacks(without fail) and guess i stressed all the workers and i believes they are also expecting my arrival everyday.

Hi All, Sorry to have ask a question here. Anyone using solid surface top from 3S and how is their qaulity like in terms if staining and scratches(normal usage). Currently, my contractor only offers me with 3S products so i need to know more. Thanks a million.

Sorry to hear about your case potat0. As for me, the boss still honoured my deal but just that i can only choose the color out of their existing stocks(and now i know the reason after seeing the above messages). I signed up in Dec 2011 and at the time, think this company is still doing ok in the market. I delayed till now due to my ex owner extended their stay in the house and also some delays from HDB. I mainly paid a small deposit of 200sg during my booking and they never asked me for more. Btw, the sales man who attaneded to me is not Andy Yeo.

Something to share.. I have a unhappy deal for my Quick Step laminate flooring package signed with Grupp Marketing Pte Ltd too. I signed up with them in during one of the expo fair in Dec 2011. During that time, i was told that all colors on displayed will be available as long as i give them 3 weeks to one month in advance when my house is ready. Recently, i called them up for a on site measurement in early May right after i took over my house. Sales man A(the one who i signed up with during the expo fair) came punctually but due to i am still waiting for HDB's approval on relocating for my store room(last min surprise from HDB). I was unable to make decision and informed A that i will get back to him once the aprroval is given. In end May, i received a call from Grupp Marketing Pte Ltd that sales man A had left the company and replacement B will be taking over. B is a totally new to this trade and he do not know a single thing. I called up Grupp Marketing Pte Ltd to clarify on some issues and finally, they sent an "old bird" to measure my my house. Last week during lunch time, i met up with this old bird and B on site. Upon met up, old bird passed me a list of their current on hand stocks and asked me to choose from there. To my surprise, the color which i actually wanted(the main reason of why i signed up with them) was not in the list!! I explained to old bird and told him that i signed up becos of sales man A had given me a good deal and also of that nice color. Old bird told me that he will try and the met up ended. In late afternoon, old bird called up and informed that they have the stocks for that color but only enough for my dining and living area. Bed rooms have to be from the available stocks from the list. I told him : what attracted me in signing up is becos of that color and can you please order from your main office?. He replied : Can you do me a favour by choosing out color from the list which i had pased to you?? OMG... I told him i wana refund if thats the case but he said cannot. In my invoice, it does not stated the color which i wanted of cos but just to locked in the agreed price per sf. This is definitely a very bad experience for me. Now my flooring color got to suits them instead of what i prefers.. While typing this comment here, I smsed old bird 10min ago that i wished to have the color i wanted for my whole house. His replied is as below : We regret to inform you that this color is already obsolete and the balance stock is what we have. I admit Quick Step can consider a good brand in the laminate flooring markets but their boss definitely cannot make it !!! PS : the old bird is actually the boss of the company.
