Hi, I am facing the above problem too. Small bugs(1mm very light brown, almost invisible if did not see carefully) can be found in my MBR and my entire ceiling is covered with cotton wool/ spider wed kind of mold. Any suggestion on how to remove these bugs? Thanks a million

Hi All, I am searching for laundry pole. Those that you can put in the existing hole provided outside the kitchen area. The pole should comes with multiple holes for hanging of hangers for drying and with a rope to pull in clothes nearer to you when laundry is dried. May i know where can i find this product and roughly how much will be the cost? Not sure if my explanations is cleared enough anot for you guys to understand.. I am not looking for those retractable models within indoor towards outdoor type.

I changed basically is due to their sucks workmanship as what i have been sharing throughout my reno journey. This top cabinet already changed twice and still cant make it and it is just a very simple, clean cut and straight forward 6feet cabinet and nothing more. Maybe you are right aout their NOTE but for me now.. no matter what i see from their emails pissed me off for sure. LOL....

20mins ago, my contractor dropped me an email as below on my revised set of wall hung cabinet doors and do take a closer look at the NOTE:.. For point one, are they trying to tell me that once i agrees to this revised design and once i acknowledged, i can't get them to redo or rectify again even if the measurement is out or workmanship sucks again?? AS for the last point.. No change should be done. COME ON.. Now i am doing them a favour by changing to casement type of door openings if they feel more comfortable or have more confident in fabricating such design and stop giving me sub standard work ! ! ! I already give in by not sticking on to my original design in order to close this reno progress. The way they stated in the NOTE is like.. i am super choosy/difficult to handle and keeps changing my mind to different designs which is definitely not the truth ! ! !

Hi EoneKhaled and Batman, Think i will not mention the company name(as of now)here. After all, i have seen their on going work at bishan(a 4rm) in march 2012 before i signed on the dotted line and their workmanship was pretty decent. Afterall, the boss is good in the way that he admitted is their fault when his team produced sub standard work and willing to change most of the lousy works instead of just doing rectification work of the affected areas. One thing which i am not happy is that i have actually paid slightly higher as compared to the "std market rate" as i was promised by them that they workmanship is guaranteed to be of slightly better thats why when i see those sub standard work quality, i was like ... what i have been told are not being delivered at all. Solid surface top, first sets which arrived chipped off at corner and they replaced with second time of brand new set. Left bottom cabinet, first set design was wrong and they removed and replaced with a brand new set as well. Lastly, top cabinet, first set the body warped, removed and replaced with brand new set. Second time, body ok but workmanship of the doors cannot make it... Got to remove and replaced with a new set of dorrs again.

Thanks Casa. Met up with the company boss on last sat and he promised he will redo my top kitchen cabinet doors and partial of the area around the hob as it is really in "no eye see" standard. This is the last bit which is affecting my overall reno and considered settled after these doors are rectified i guess.. Maybe to some of you here, the pics which i have attached above does not show much as camera is difficult to capture all the defects as compared to naked eyes. When i first sent the pics to the boss through mms, he also thought that these are alrite but he changed his view and totally agrees with me of their sub std work when he saw the real workmanship of his team. Anyway.. will just wait for the new doors for my top cabinets again.

Hi Sunshine, You have a big kitchen! Yes, renotalk is the place whereby you can pick up others' comment to prevent the same thing from happening again during your reno. Also, over here we can learn alot of wonderful things from others as well. Met up with my coordinator during lunch time. She came out with all sort of reasons like the cabinet are all hand made and not be machine so definitely, there will have here and there not perfect !!! Waokao.. I told her this kind of standards is definitely not acceptable and i asked her, her company specialise in which type of door opening and i am willing to forego my original design for my top cabinet to suits their workmanship as long as they can give me a decent one. (Really very tire and i am no longer asking for perfect workmanship. As long as it is decent and presentable i will accept). Hope i am not asking too much with this request. Can anyone advise me how to deal with such situation?

Thank you Sunshine for following my blog and i dun really have much things to share or any fantastic designs for my house. Just a simple reno i guess. As for the gaps which you had mentioned, i think even if the gaps are there for a purpose, but still it should be at least equally spaced on both the left and right side. The top cabinet design which i had i mind is not that difficult to fabricate in my opinion. It is just a simple 4 doors and furthermore, it is only 6ft in length!! Hope your reno will be smooth ..
