ya....i also dun believe there r no stainless steel hinges. Morover its used in the toilet. I'm quite disappointed with Hoe Kee for this though their service still not bad that they gave me a slider free. But seems like i can't use the cabinet with ease.

Haha....i dunno if there's anyone doing renovation same time as me. But i doubt so....So what your friend is hearing could be from my unit. People over here is really friendly and i guess that's becos' theres more locals around this area hor.

Today show picture of the MBR toilet Before After I use Kohler fliphead for this shower room. Really good!!!! Bought the basin with cabinet from Hoe Kee. Cost more than $300. Cabinet is PVC for better waterproofing. But i realise that it wasn't really that good cos' the hinge and slider inside can get rusty fast as its not stainless steel. According to Hoe Kee, there's no stainless steel for hinge and slider. Also becos while installing, contractor would use silicon, and door was not let open. Hence the slider actually came off cos' it got rusted. Anyhow, Hoe kee provided a new slider for me. But they cannot do anything more than that. So i have to keep it dry all the time. One tip from them is to apply those colourless nail polish on it to maintain it.

Hehe...i'm a vegetarian. But i agree that the hawker center is rather cheap. I have always been eating there cos' i'm working in Jurong East as well. Your friend is the 1st owner? Really??? Does she remember her unit no.? Gosh...can meet up and 認識認識 leh....

thank you, i didn't use any wall paper. But i'll be pasting wall sticker which i bought from korea. But haha...things are everywhere, so no chance to paste it yet. Slowly slowly take my time...even dining table etc also haven't buy yet. Moving house is really no fun.

also, forgot to mention that 30L for central heater for 2 toilets is just fine. 15L maybe abit too small. Also, u can even link it to your bathroom sinks etc, so 30l is not that big. Mine heater is also same as urs.

btw, u can actually get ur town council to throw some of the debrises to save $$. 3 items FOC per month

Actually i think tis is mutual between both. For me and my contractor, i make alot of changes even after signing the quotation. I had already seek he's agreeement and he was very ok with it. After all the changes, my final quotation was lower by more than $1k. My contractor wqas also not tight on $$, so i guess he doesn't really bothers about all these.

Hoe Kee at Genting lane is good as in can give some discount. Look for Uncle Johnny. A very nice and helpful guy. Will advise you the truthful things.

My frend's dad, Master Lai that saw my house said something n its coming true. I told my frend about this n she said her dad is quite accurate. Whatever he had advise on the house is not difficult to follow, but frankly speaking, i haven't follow much of it yet since i just moved in. Will settle down and then try to see what i can do on he's suggestion. actually not very difficult. he only suggest to put bank book @ wealth position etc...put salt water in the house at certain place. Will see about that since my hse is in a mess now. but i do strongly recommend him.

hi guys, finally moved in....so busy and tired that no time to update here as well. Finally bought all my accessories. Am disappointed that my ID didn't really get the ikea stuff i bought to be installed correctly. Nevertheless, he provided good service in other areas. ONly thing is he has too many projects on hand n is handling it alone...so too many things he missed out. Really gotta penalise him for that. Handling renovation is indeed a stressful job....When things goes wrong, there'll b many sleepless nights. But hey, comparing to those sleeping in huts, walking on soil ground, we r considered lucky. Its overall good experience to learn more in the mean time. I will try to pose some pix after packing. or at least part of it.hehe

My granite top is installed. Looks good. will post a pix once i have a chance to take....Sigh...moving in tomorrow but alot of things undone yet....feels very lazy and tired to rush around n buy things.

last time i also stayed at Clementi Ave 2. Good area...it was sold very cheaply in the past. I think only 55k. sigh...to think now, the value of Clementi rises so high....

just be careful where you put your dining table. Normally there's a beam between the kitchen and living room. So u may want to avoid putting your dining table under a beam.

eh...not necessary leh...Clementi also en-bloc liao....n Clementi also around this time or only older by a few years. Actally all depends on govt bah...bt i definitely dun want an en-bloc...cos' new houses are so small....n also, i spent a bomb on the renovation aldy...govt sure dun compensate that. Another thing is I'm really so tired of renovation n moving...

My block is a 1984 block... old enuf for en-bloc?
