  1. Hi Tingshen, I left u a pm. Hope to receive your reply soon.
  2. Can I check if gkrobts is still in action cos I've been trying to access their website but can't. Scooba 380 from S'pore costs $1200?
  3. Can anybody recommend me a place to buy a reliable Scooba 380 below $1000? I know nuts about the technical part so I need the specs to suit the local voltage. Thanks!

Finally my reno works are starting tomorrow. Can't wait to see an empty house turning into a home. Think I'll pop by to kpo abit. Btw, these are the lights I bought for my place. The missing dining light is a ball of glass trumpets and also squarish downlights. Something like Finesse's
  5. Hi Compassvale, I bought the PDP @ 3670. Best told me that I have to add $$ to increase the warranty to 5 yrs thus that amount. Hmm was I cheated?? Sort of regretted the buy cos would have been able to buy more stuff with tat amount
  6. Thanks Twinkle! Hope I won't regret the buy
  7. Hi, I would like to know if black floor tiles for the toilets are easy to maintain as I'll be selecting the tiles this weekend.
  8. For the price of pioneer plasma tvs, are they really that good? Would appreciate some feedback from people who have bought their products.
  9. I don't think he's such a person. Will check with SBH and id before coming to conclusion.
  10. That's the problem. Sounds very fishy when we heard the id said that. Thought they will get a cheaper rate than us buying the tiles ourselves. We thought it's only topping up the diff. We like this homo tile which costs $3.15 but id told us SBH will sell to him at $4.
  11. My id gave me a $3/psf limit to the homo tile I can purchase for my living room. Me and Hub went to SBH to take a look at the wider range. We found out that almost all the tiles are above $3 after including GST. I called up id to check if we can have the near white polished homo ($3.15 w GST) but he mentioned no cos SBH will charge them ard $4 for the same tile (marked up). Is this true? Initially, he told us we cant have matt cos it also costs $4 but SBH only stated $2 plus for some designs.
  12. Ah!!!! Ur foyer light is the one I'm looking for my balcony. Where did u get it from and how much?
  13. Hi Air, you are right. 250 for the hob area and 450 for 13ft. Pretty ex compared to what some of the forummers had. Think theirs only 200 for the whole thing But no choice. Easier to wipe and maintain.
  14. Hi Air, it's for a 13ft kitchen cabinet. How much did he quote u?
  15. Hi, I do agree that EI's quotation for the backslash is a bit on the higher side. My stainless steel backing already costs $450. But overall, the price is still ok.

Yippie, got our house keys last Saturday. Nearly forgot to take some pics until we were about to leave. Just find it wierd that we couldn't find any defects except for the service ducts outside the house. Going to meet Benedict tomorrow and ask for his help. The before reno pics can be viewed at the following url: http://sg.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/jasccf/my_photos

We met up with Benedict for a more detailed quotation last weekend. Hmm.... did fall within our budget though the cost of electrical works are not added in yet. He will emailing us the final quote within this week. True that his price falls in the average range and we didn't bargain. After reading some post, I was thinking if the price he quoted for the glass backsplash is a little too ex. It's $450 to run between the kitchen cabinets of 13 ft. We will be taking our time to source for furniture now cos only starting reno in end may or start of june. Yippie, getting the keys this sat. Will post some pics after the visit

Hi Allo, we wanted a false ceiling from the main door to the balcony. But I really do hope he can do it.

Hubby and I met Benedict for the quotation yest. Can say we are pretty satisfied. Final quote was 28K. We were thinking we will go for him if he could include a false ceiling for the living area for 29K. Haiz.. just couldn't accept if there isn't cos our living/dining is very empty. We are having a tv/entertainment room in our study room as our "living" so the initial living area will only have a dining table. Hope he can adjust the cost to our request.

We only have a budget not exceeding 30k for the reno (excluding furnishings). Yup. We'll see if we can get more quotations before signing on one. Hi Hirox, my place is @ Wellington Circle and it's a new flat from last year's WIS.

Hi Allo, I do agree with what you have advised. We have sent out requests for quotations to several companies but few replied. We have approached the "popular" IDs recommended by the forums. Gplan was out cos we were "rejected". Interior Design didn't get back and we thought the quote might exceed our budget anyway. Only left with Baroque and Earnest. We felt very comfortable with Ben so thought we might just leave our reno to him.

Hi Joyz, my place is at Sembawang. Actually me and hubby wanted a modern contemporary look for your home but because we wanted matt homogeneous flooring for the whole house, Benedict said that it's more to the resort feel. We're not exactly sure yet. But we do love black tempered glass for our feature wall and dining table. Love the orh orh look . To be frank, we didn't look for many IDs as most of them didn't get back to us. If Benedict is able to give us a quote within our range, we'll just go ahead. How about you?

Have been going through this forum since last Sep. Simply fascinated by some of the homes done up here. I can feel the excitement of collecting keys to my E.A on 31st March. Whoo hoo As recommended by fellow forummers, I have approached Benedict from Earnest for a quotation. We only met up to discuss our needs and wants a month ago. Will be meeting him for the initial quotation this weekend. Geez.. Just can't wait. Hope it falls within our budget. I've wanted to get some advice from you guys. Cos Ben told me that we should do away with L-Box and false ceiling as it's too common. Thought the whole house might look empty and wierd. What do you think?
  25. Sorry that I have to post this thread here. It seems like I could not send out any pm. I need Finesse9702's help if you come across this message to let me know where you bought your dining lights from. Really love it. Is it possible to list down the price too? Thanks a million!
