  1. Small issue.... Just get an acrylic panel and punch hole on it and use cable tie to tie it... Or plastic net which we use to stop our neighbour cat from entering our place.... Our neighbour have a unique cat. She seems to be a vegetarian. Always come over to chew our plants.
  2. The unit which we didn't buy from is definitely have a better finance compared to the owner we bought from. Plus they are same, Catholic as us and looks devout too, is a form of comfort for us. Our ex-unit, is also bought from a Catholic, which was intro by my church choir members, we had a peace of mind. However, when we negotiated, the wife couldn't agree on our offer price.... They were asking for 540K but we said, we can only pay 530K and they didn't bite. They then asked for 535K but we feel somewhat not right and started looking elsewhere. They finally relented at 530K but at that time, we already lost heart on that unit. Last I checked, they sold to another catholic at 522K
  3. Soon seng just dropped by to give a quotation and they quoted 950! Must have notice the quotation receipt left on my table.
  4. Their investment is better laa.. Reno how good oso, after 10 years sure nua one... Actually, I almost bought another unit on the same block but at 30k more ex but probably need to do less,especially kitchen no need to do but that unit was next tl a messy neighbour and next to a lift, thus a lot of traffic. So thought, save that 30 k to do better Reno.
  5. OK, I may have jumped the gun on the cabinet pricing. but c'mon, 1.2k is already for top premium paint, what other better paint? Gold flaked paint har... Some more can choose 3 colors only can do what special design? Checkered design with 2 colors har.... Moreover, from the start of the post, I DID mention it is too vague and my comment is based on rough look.... EDIT: OK, I thought it was 3 room flat, but even then 1.8k is ex for painting....

  15. YEa lor.... I calculate base on 280 per trip, at most 2 trips only, is 560 and Elite Mover said piano is 180?(I hear like 100+ on the phone), most should be 740.
  16. Now hunting for movers. A lot of barang-barang but not much big items except - a single bed/frame - a queen size bed/frame - piano - washing machine/dryer Elite Mover quoted us 960! Currently sourcing for others... Calling 138 and soon seng to check out...

  19. Another reason why I want to do the main door and gate later is I worry ex-owner may borrow from ah long. Not that there is any sign of it but the ex-owner's husband does not seem to have a stable job. When I open the letter box, I notice some letters from lawyers which makes me a little worried. Perhaps I think too much. I wonder, is there any way to ensure ex-owner has changed the IC address?
  20. FSM say we must shift on that day to have a good life.... Hehehe... kidding.... We are still living at our ex-apartment. The new owner wants us to clear this place by April 15th.

  22. Condition still good leh, though dated design.... My prev apartment has the exact same kind of cabinets.... Looks like those days all like that one.... Looks like ex-owner didn't clear the sofa and the TV cabinet huh....

From what I can see, it should be painting >> floor laminating >> door/window grill? >> carpentry >> final plumbing/glass panel >> lighting fixup >> final touch up Got to work closely with ID to maximise their efficiency. Some of the stuff I originally scheduled requires changing as he kpkb will restrict his planning. Do tell me if you need help in network planning...
  24. That one less worrying coz my biggest worry is to be able to shift by april 15th. Moving is something which we should be able to control in term of timing....
