-
yea...vrest can close one eye but that particular wall too jialat...

Sigh, finally I succumb to the idea of plastering the living room wall... Too ugly to ignore.... another empat ratus terbang....
-
This is the wall which I mentioned very jialat one. After it has been painted, the protruding part is so obvious... Need to discuss with ID to see how we can quickly rectify this....

It sound like plane taking off during dry spin. As for noise tolerance level dunno as diff ppl have diff tolerance level and how secluded is the washing area.

How bout fisher and paykel? Suppose to be top in water saving. Not sure about electricity though. I have been using the 8kg model for almost 8 years now. Still going strong.
-
Kudos to Jerome. Called him today to confirm the delivery as the date is getting close. However, as the model of the hob that I want will only come in early April, it could not meet my carpentry work schedule. So, he will loan me the same model but the LPG type so that I can use it to let the carpenter to cut the hole on the granite top first and at later date, exchange to the correct model again. He also lowered the price a little for me as it was a little over-quoted by Madam Tan when he was away at the time I ordered.

The electrical DB box is up.... Pleasantly surprise that they are using branded Hager. Hopefully all the rest of the switches use Hager too...

It's end of week 2 now. went up to see what's the progress as I have not gone over for 2 days. All the holes on the walls, ceilings are all patched and remnants of the old trunkings are all removed. They are in the midst of painting now. The painter said will be done by tuesday. Here are the photos: Can't really see the actual colours from the pictures though. The actual colour is warmer. Ummm.... Not as nice as I expected. Really regret didn't plaster at least the wall. Some part of wall's uneveness and roughness is really obvious after painting.... Below is the color code:

I found an even cheaper mover today. Someone sapu almost all our furniture for cheap price and their mover came to our place to move all the stuff. I observed how they and looks like their are very careful with their work. So at the same time, I asked how much to move our stuff. They quoted 700, which is 40 cheaper than maydream's mover. I will still most probably stick to maydream's mover as they this mover only have 2 movers. Lets see how....
-
I prefer top load too as what ayazumi said, plus it can be instant laundry basket. Hehe....
-
Yup... Decided to engage may dream's mover coz they are flexible. I will keep it to 2 trips only. The rest light and delicate stuff I will transport it myself.
-
I wonder why.... It doesn't look big enough to fit those old single aircon too...
-
This did cross my mind too but my mum is heavy cooker. If do this then need a sliding door at the opening which I think defeats the purpose.
-
Milliewalker, Nobody owe anyone a living to be obligated to provide the cheapest price to anyone. It's an open market. If you don't like to deal with zero, bring your business elsewhere. If Zero continues to provide uncompetitive pricing, his business will die out eventually. Don't need to tarnish yourself by bad-mouthing him....

Question On Electrical Works
beluga replied to Gymrat76's topic in Housing Rules, Policies and Procedures
I know nuts about this too but I can tell you from experience. My new place had a System 3 but the study room did not have an aircon. As I wanted to convert it into a room for my daughter, I sought out a few option 1) Can add another fan coil to the System 3? Answer I got: You may but you can't turn on all at the same time which defeats the purpose. 2) Add another compressor, which in this case, I can add another Sys 3 to cover the study room and living room. Answer I got: From both the ID and Aircon contractor, "Is your unit been upgraded? If so then can add 2 compressor". 3) Teardown the existing Sys3 and upgrade to Sys4, forgo living room. I chose option 3 finally for cost reason and sold away the existing sys3. -
No.... I didn't choose white.... I chose 1107 for living, 1109 for dining and walkway, 3146 for mbr and study, 3131 for br3 and svc balcony and 3163 for br2. All Nippon medifresh for the rooms and easy wash for living/dining. Ceiling is default white.... Not sure if what I have chosen is right but I tried my best to match by using the online nippon colour matching tool. Upload the 3D image there and color the walls with different colours to mix and match.

Question On Electrical Works
beluga replied to Gymrat76's topic in Housing Rules, Policies and Procedures
It just means your current house cannot install 2 compressors. Biggest compressor sold in the market is 28800 BTU? You split this BTU among the rooms lor. Total combined BTU can still be more than the 28800 but it will mean you should not turn on all at the same time. -
My mistake... looks like only toilet wall and floor tiles not hackable within 3 years...
