The fan is early early buy already... Now with the L-box starting to fall in place and the position of the air on fan coil in the vicinity, it's really too small to fit. Not that it will hit nearby item but it looks too big. Living room no problem, can still fit.

Why worry? After 2 weeks, if they lapse, you ciak his 1K and move on....

Question On Cash Over Valuation And Agent Fees

I mean, 1st appt no need to pay first. Only 2nd appt.... -
Sigh.... Looks like all the rooms can't use the Panasonic fans. Guess I got to exchange 3 of the Panasonic fans to 4 KDK baby fan with additional top up of RM90. Why don't I return all 4 of the Panasonic fans? you may ask. Well, one of the unit, the box is gone, so it's not possible to return. So, I may probably use it for the living room OR sell it at 2nd hand price liao....

There are definitely many ways to light up the living other than using false ceiling. Only thing good about false ceiling is you can hide away all cabling and trunking. This can also be achieved if you use L-box but again, L-box is only surrounding the walls. If the living room is big, middle will be dark. -
Teach you.... Go bicycle shop, ask unker for unwanted bicycle tyre tube.... Cut it into long strip and fix it along the corner of the top cabinet.... Voila! Problem solved! But then, you'll end up with dark forehead, which doesn't look very auspicious.... Hehehe

OK laa... not so bad laa... bottom cabinet is suppose to be deeper than top cabinet anyway.

I just completed my transaction with COV of 37K, loaning from HDB. I didn't have to fork out any cash first during 1st appt. Everything offset swee-swee for me. Perhaps if you loan from bank need.... Dunno..... -

Durability wise, Laminate should be more durable than parquet as laminate hard to scratch. Water resistance wise, I think both equally poor. Only thing parquet win is that, parquet can sand off the surface but laminate cannot. Even then, you can sand off a few times only (not sure how many times). I do agree, parquet feel is way better.... I wanted to do also but gave up in the end.... -
Coz since it's by pfr basis, add that additional cabinet should not cost you any money....

Value Of Executive Condomeniums?
beluga replied to DreamHome1's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
Yes.... Like I said, it still boils down to location, be it BTO, DBSS or EC. If DBSS and EC is side by side, if can afford it, EC is a no brainer.... What for buy a DBSS which is essentially a BTO with build-in reno plus wall up (which some don't even have) and slightly better amenities like nicer carpark, barbeque pit, and garden? It's still bound by HDB rules. -
I mean this way:

Waa.... parquet wood difficult to maintain wor.... 1) Expensive. I think like 6.5 psf. This excludes skirting, which is 3.5 psf. 2) Long time to install. Depends on what is your current flooring, if you want to hack it away then need cement screeding, then tiling, then sandpaper, then varnish. If your schedule is tight then susah.... 3) Tough to maintain, especially if you want to do it in living where traffic is high. Easily scratch though you can sandpaper it after a couple of years. -
The cabinet that hides the big piping, why not make it go straight down instead of like a step. Straight down will make it not that obvious that you are trying to hide the pipings.

Anyone interested in buying KDK fan from JB? I just called the shop to check the price of the KDK baby fan and it is RM315. They said, I can return the Panasonic fan but they will not refund the difference. So, so long as I buy anything above RM390, which is the price of the fan, I can then top up the difference....

Purchase Of Resale Hdb
beluga replied to heynsl's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
Nope.... New ruling no longer allows this.... Even resale unit with bank loan is no longer allowed. -
Got too low one meh? HDB flats more or less standard height right? Unless yours already have false ceiling? The Panasonic fan needs abt 30cm. As for the KDK fan, saw it installed at one of my friend's place. Not bad...

The study room is too small to use the 56“ Panasonic F-M14E8 fan... Will use a KDK baby fan instead. So I'm selling 1 unit now at SGD165. Any taker?

Looks so.... Hopefully QC is maintained.... ^^;;;
