The only thing I like most about him is his ability to deliver in timely manner. They are able to assemble large team of worker if needed to get things done. On the negative side, I was very unhappy that I was forced to use Palace Light for all the lightings. Their pricing is ridiculous and the quality of the lighting sucks. I've changed out almost all the downlight's bulbs now as their are all burned out. First occurance happen within 3 months. Their source of tiles is from Hafary, which is OK, a popular place to get. As for the toiletary stuff, mine was from Hua Chong, Bedok. Not the cheapest place but I'm happy with their service. After close to a year, the rain shower tap head broke and they were willing to replace it for us FOC.

So far so good... Not shaky at all and it's quiet...

Can I rewire to bypass the ballast and use those bulbs with build in ballast? I'm currently using 2x13 also.

It blinks a bit before it lights up. I also prefer those with build-in balast as my previous home is using it. For 7 over years NONE spoiled.

Over the weekend, another problem surfaced.... Our MBR toilet drainage is blocked! Tried using chemical solution and also use bendable metal wire to poke the blockage but unable to clear it. Asked our old trusty house fixer to clear the block. Guess what? Found dried cement in the drainage! He had to use some force to poke hard to break the cement that choked the pipe. We found this issue in our common toilet also but it was easy to clear as the drainage is directly accessible. In the case of the MBR, the vanity cabinet is directly above it.

So, the electrician guys came on saturday evening as promised. Stuff done - Replaced 1 burned downlight in MBR - 2 downlight in MBR frames got rewiring done - MBR toilet light rechecked and repositioned - 2 noisy downlight in my son's room got the balast repositioned - Replaced a burned balast in for the kitchen light. Wow.... so many problem lights within 2 months!

@MayDream1. Yes, ultimatum given to them. If by Saturday still not solve, I will post this in D'trenzo thread itself. @Ayazumi. It's not the bulb but the backend frame issue. I've tried changing the bulb out and fixed to another download and it can light up. I'm not skilled to remove the entire downlight itself.

It is barely 2 months since I moved in.... Guess what? At least 4 of the downlights is acting strange now. Sometimes it will light up, sometimes all of a sudden, it will turn off by itself. Also, the toilet light in MBR was on and off not working since the beginning. Told ID about the toilet light issue a month ago, he just redirect me to call Palace Lights about this issue, which is understandable. So my wife started calling Palace Light and follow up via SMS. The boss is very polite.... However, weeks after weeks, always got something come up to postpone to next week. Excuse 1 - Worker not free Excuse 2 - Worker on MC Excuse 3 - Worker gone back to MY Very disappointed. We never wanted to buy from Palace Light from the beginning because the moment we were brought to this place by ID, I did a search in Renotalk and indeed, this place has bad comments. I told ID, he said, "Don't worry, guarantee service because they work with ID, so they will be careful". So, now not ID's tai ji liao lor..... Nice. So, I can only raise the issue here to create awareness to everyone to BEWARE.... Anyone who read this post, please do not quote this text. I still want to give them opportunity to rectify this issue. If the rectify it, then I will delete this post.... Thanks! Update 9/6/2012 So, the electrician guys came on saturday evening as promised. Thanks gkbt! I know that 8 mm tubings are too small for a 2 cm hole but the original was to look for an L-shaped junction that can clip onto this 2 cm hole also be a junction to join to the bottom tap. Anyway, to avoid any hassles for now, I want to look for a cap to cover this hole. This is also another headache as I don't know what can be used to cover this hole. I did ask the shop for any option to do so but they said none.
