There is no pure white granite, but there is white granite.

If you are afraid of the granite turning yellow, then don't choose white. Choose other color which is easily to maintain. Black may not be a good option too because of the dust and maybe water mark?

Luckily you are staying above your neighbour house. Imagine if you are below their house, they keep stomping their feet, put mop outside the window to drip your clothes, or start screaming and shouting, that will be a horrible nightmare. My parents' house next door neighbour is also one kind - one son and one old mother. The whole family seem like uneducated, or come from kampong houses. When her children and grandchildren come visiting her, they like to disturb my dog, make my dog bark and bark non-stop, even though our main door is closed. My mum got so fed up, she opened the door and scolded the children. There was once my dog bark non stop (again was those bunch of children disturbing my dog), they scolded our dog (indirectly at us) that our dog got no manners. If my dog knows what is manners, she will be a human, not a dog.

We had sleepless night worrying about this issue, but luckily, it was not as serious as we thought. Thank God! And also kudos to the HDB officer who attended our request and took action immediately. We have changed our perception for HDB.

DAY FOURTEEN TOday, the HDB officer visited the house and inspected the pipe and ceiling. He reported that there was no leakage. The water mark that we saw was not recent water mark, it was left there long ago. *Phew* We went to the house, but didn't dare to step into the house because we were not sure if the living room tiles were dried. The living room floor tiles, including skirting, are completed! The workers were working on the bedroom floor tiles.

If HDB has installed fire rated doors for Tampines area, you need to have fire rated door in your unit. You can change a new door, but it must be fire rated.

We saw a suspension florescent light along Balestier road, but the price is expensive. Hubby will check out at nearby neighbourhood light shop if they carry this type of light. Will update you again. I wanted to have this type of lighting in study room, above the study table too. Looks cool
