  1. Peaceful and latte are nice colors too! Was in our list of chosen colors too. But too bad, we are only limited with 5 colors, otherwise I would have all the colors for different walls.
  2. DAY TWENTY-SIX Hey guys. Sorry for not updating for the past two days as I am busy studying for my final exam papers. Just completed one paper today, I have another paper this Sunday. Will try to update tomorrow. Last Sunday, the electrician came to do the electrical rewiring and completed about 85% of the work, except the kitchen, toilets and study room. We faced an issue how to lay the electrical wires in study room as the aircon trunking will be running at the bottom across the study room towards the MBR, and electrician forgot about this. So in the end they have to dismantle the wire casement and wait for aircon man to do the piping first before they lay the wire casement above the aircon trunking. We need the aircon trunking up first, so that the wire casement can sit nicely on top of the trunking without any gaps. (Sorry, I hate gaps) We have arranged the aircon man to do the aircon installation first before painting. Initially planned to paint first before aircon trunking, but due to the electrical problem, we have no choice but to ask the aircon man to come in on this Tuesday to do the installation first. We requested to do aircon installation today (Monday), but was too last minute (we called aircon man yesterday), so he was unable to do for us. Earliest is this Tuesday. I hope I won't see white patches behind the aircon unit. Stay tune for aircon man action tomorrow.
  3. I wanted to choose Maldives sand color too, but hubby feels that it's a bit too dull, so I chose Rustic brown and Sail white for the living room. Sail white is almost white, no yellow tint. Whitest in that white shade category.
  4. Okay lah, the square basin 16"x16" can fit in your toilet. You still have sufficient space allowance. The tiling skills really need improvement. Gap so wide, can allow ants to build nests. Are you changing the toilet windows? Looks old and dirty. I like concrete L-shape backing for the kitchen cabinet. Are you placing your sink at the L-end? Why my contractor never propose using concrete L-end? Hmmm... At least it looks more solid and water resistant.
  5. Raffles City toilets using TOTO wc. I don't really like. Water level too high. Drop "bomb" will splash the water all over.
  6. I asked Singtel 2 weeks ago for the 79xx series, they don't supply anymore. In the end no choice, got the 9900 for one staff. I hope she don't keep coming to me for BB problems.
  7. 9900 was the latest that time. Luckily I ordered the older models for my bosses. Otherwise every now and then they will disturb me for phone breakdown. Now they have phased out the older version, forcing people to take 9900 already.
  8. If that is the case, I believe Starhub or M1 also won't compensate lost of data, since all 3 are service providers for telecommunication, they are practicing the same "law of compensation". My company staff are using BB, so far no problem. You might have got the defect BB. So now your phone is still not fixed? Have they replied?
  9. Later I go to the house, take picture, and show you how big the lobang is. This is the con side of plaster wall. Repaint also cannot cover the hole
  10. I'm impressed with Andrew, frankly speaking. If we are diligent a bit to do our research before signing contractor, I'm sure this renovation journey can be a smooth and pleasant one. Some contractors/IDs really assume that we home owners have renovated or moved many homes before, so we should know our things better, don't need give us advices. For myself, this is my first home renovation, of course I have many queries or doubts that I need to clarify. I need a contractor/ID to put himself into my shoes and think for me. He has the responsibility to assure worried home ownwer like me. Some contractor/ID first thing open mouth is $$$$$.
  11. What the... Comcentre is really very far leh! Last time I worked there, almost near to PSA/Habourfront already. What does Singtel mean they don't compensate lost of data if the handphone is purchased for 6 months only. So when can they compensate the lost of data? Use for 1-2yrs, data lost, then compensate?
  12. Finally... Wish you have a smooth renovation journey
  13. Every chip came off, my heart cracks one time. Heart pain
  14. Oh... I remember. Everything they sell like marked up 30-50%, so expensive. But the little girl was desperately trying to sell things to us, she tried her best, we like her service, but the things are really too expensive. Only her service is good, her seniors all sit at the end of the shop chit chatting, la kopi, and when she approached them to help us answer our queries, they gave her a disgusted look. If I'm her, I won't want to work there. The seniors = 倚老卖老
  15. Can cancel? Threaten to cancel their service and sign with Singtel. My friend often threatened Starhub and they gave her freebies, vouchers, etc. Don't understand why Singapore service industry cannot do a good job to please customers, then Singaporeans won't behave in such a way that others think we are stingy, complain kings and queens, kiasu, etc.
  16. Is that the shop that sells wc for $600-800 per piece?
  17. Not only the corners are dangerous, even the wall surface is also dangerous. Feels like the whole house will chip off anything.
  18. Wow... Andrew is really professional. I like ID/contractor who can sit down with us for many hours to go through single details of what we want to do, what do we expect to see, what should we look out for. At least three people brainstorm together then an outcome or solution will reach. That is the way to do things.
  19. I realised that yesterday too. My electrician lay wrong wire casement, I asked him redo lay, when he pulled out the casement, the plaster chipped off and a dent was formed. There was one very serious. A big chunk of plaster came off together with the real wall. One big lobang.
  20. Wow... so fast started painting. Mine seem to slow down a little.
  21. How much is this table lamp? Other than variety colors to choose from, any special benefit?
  22. Nice bed. With warm light, your wall lookd abit reddish, so it match well with your bed frame. No worries. I realised many people like Sealy beds. Why?
  23. Wow... I like yellow. Too bad I don't have permission to buy
  24. Are you doing the kitchen only?
