Great. I think can intro the magic sponge to albert's auntie. Polish the granite sink to become a new sink again. -
I seldom see ants inside the carpentry. Normally I found them in toilets and window ledge. I spray their "caves" (grout lines) in the toilet, I always find pools of ants in the toilets. I don't think ants will appear suddenly in new houses, especially after renovation. They are bound to hide in between the grout lines and also probably crawl from outside the windows.

Guys don't need too many wardrobe space. Clothes hanger good enough. T-shirt, shorts and underwear can put in a toyogo box
-
I let them all enter into their "cave", then spray water in. Then all ants run out, I wash them all into the drain

Heee... If we do L-box and downlight, my electrician quoted me per switch is one lighting point, not by per downlight. If 3 downlights link to one switch, it is still consider one lighting point. -
Hahahaha... I bet you have as many methods as me to eliminate ants too.

I didn't know too, until I saw the quotation. So I went home to consult my father. He is also a renovation contractor, but doing A&A work, don't do HDB. So he helped me source for cheaper alternative. -
I can't help it, I will squash the ants when I see them
-
Hahahaha... Good idea! How about this?
-
Sounds familar :X

Draw circles on the solid surface that "trap" the ants

Where to buy magic sponge? How does it look like? Can I get from NTUC Fairprice? -

Hahahaha.. we don't use soap to wash hands. We use kirei kirei - 100% cleansing ingredient from plants. Who will still use soap to wash hands nowadays? Maybe my ah ma will, but not for us. Haha! When we start to use the sink to wash our dishes, pots, and pans, then we feedback the outcome after we experience it. For now, we don't know how good or bad a granite sink is, but it is a good try afterall. Have been using stainless steel sink for 20 over years, so it's good to try something new too. -

Yes I agree, maybe paper towel is too rough for granite sink. A cotton cloth is softer and good for maintaining the granite sink without scratches, and as you have mentioned, baby oil is workable for stainless steel surface to maintain the shine (looks brand new again). -

I thought your real name is May... -
First, never maintain sink, sink so dirty. Second, saw ants on solid surface. You really need a cleaner auntie!

I don't like the idea to have lights above TV. I feel it too glaring and hurt the eyes too. -

Aiyo... Then you buy a new Suter sink for her. -
Your WIW is definitely bigger than ours! Our bedroom is so small, we have to reduce 1ft of the wardrobe to 6feet length.

I think baby oil is less sticky than cooking oil. Baby oil absorb quite fast. Like NeoBY said, it might be same concept as car polishing; don't apply too much oil on the sink - less is more. We don't do heavy cooking, probably just fry an egg or cook maggie mee. We use the sink to wash our hands only, don't really use the sink to wash other things, so the granite sink should be okay for us. We have also checked with our contractor, it is not advisable to undermount the sink as granite sink is very heavy, and like what you said, maybe we want to change our sink if we don't like it or the sink spoil we need to change a new one, so we will not undermount the sink. -

There was a question posted by others which is similar as your query. The people who tried this method said that their sinks don't feel sticky or oily after applying the oil. You need to wipe off with a cloth or paper towel, so the sink won't feel sticky. Paper towel absorbs the oil, and at the same time the oil "polish" your sink. -

Don't go on Sundays. We went there last Sunday, only 1-2 shops opened on level 3. The other floors like maybe 5 shops opened only.
