  1. No city gas. My house estate is an old estate, there is no city gas piping in our home estate. So lousy loh
  2. Wow... I thought the insect repellent is to keep mosquito away. In the end it is to keep ants, cockroaches and lizards - the 3 main pests we hated most. I need to get one for my house too
  3. Yes, we bought almost everything, nothing specific we need to buy. But the deal is too good to be missed, makes me tempted want to compare price, then later feel heart pain again. Haiz...
  4. Hi potatoes. Yes, most problems resolved, but we will be happier if most of the problems can be resolved by good will, rather through using money. No wonder there is a saying "Problems that can be resolved using money is not a problem", but this apply to people who are rich, not to poor people like us. Renovation is a tough, tiring and long process, but overall is a good experience. Thank you for liking our house and your wishes
  5. Thanks Valerie. The table color looks nice like that. Most likely we will not paint the table, thinking to lacquer the table but scared the table sticky, not sure how to protect the wood for long run
  6. Nice purchase you bought, Valerie. Haven't got time to travel to Expo to take a look. If go there sure gonna spend money again; need to control. Was a little regret why we didn't get a white fridge to compliment our kitchen look.
  7. You can use gypsum board to do feature wall and mount your tv on it. Need good reinforcement otherwise the tv may be tok heavy and the gypsum board collapse.
  8. Hi Valerie, here you go... The chair is sturdy and good. Width of the chair is big and comfy to sit on.
  9. Mine is detail ceremony. We burn joss paper in the house
  10. Hi there. Thanks for checking in. I have not fully explore my washer, but yes, I will definitely check on the number of times of rinse the washer can function. Thanks for your advice.
  11. Now many things manufacture from China, it's very common nowadays. Even IKEA products also manufacture from China.
  12. The chair you are asking for: http://list.gmarket.com.sg/item/BLOOMINGHOME-LAUNCHING-EVENT-NEW/405275828 The discount period is over, but you can use the Gmarket coupons to deduct the original price
  13. Haha... We didn't buy the red "sofa". Initially wanted to buy, but I saw a better one, one that I saw via online and aim very very long, but I'm sure the price is SUPER DUPER EXPENSIVE! So I want to save more before I step in the shop and ask for the price. BTW the chairs are from the same seller
  14. Ahhh... Can see Hubby is overly excited when receiving the chairs. Finally we received the shipment from the seller. It takes about 5 working days or less to reach us. The not-yet assemble chairs
  15. Wow... you should answer back that you do not expect ID to clean the windows personally him/herself, but expect him/her to engage cleaners or his/her workers to clean the windows for you, if not why pay ID so much for what? Neither did the contractor cleans the windows, they engage professional cleaners or their workers to clean the house before handover the flat to the new homeowners. Your ID don't make sense at all.
  16. Got such thing? It was stated in my contract that there is chemical wash for the windows. All the paint drop on the window panels will be cleaned, and those left by the previous owner they will try to clean as much as possible.
  17. Ahhhh.. Akit and Hoo explain better than me.
  18. Oh oh... Haha... sorry, forgot about it. We bought last month, and yesterday we installed the LED strip under the top cabinet. Need to clear the kitchen first before taking nice photos.
  19. I have only one word to comment: WOW....
  20. Just when I thought the washer was a good buy, yesterday both me and Hubby were standing in front of the washer, and suddenly it gave a loud bang noise, then it stopped and started to refill the water again. We were shocked by the loud noise. This washer wastes a lot of water. Don't know why keep refilling the water, wash, rinse, refill over and over again. Now I'm using quick wash for every wash. The other program functions waste a lot of water. Even when I press Level 1 water, the water level is still too much. Water Level 7 is extreme! It fills the water to the rim, like going to overflow inside the washer. I will keep monitoring the washer. The Courts delivery guy told me this washer is automatic, so don't need to press the water level, but I can't ignore the water level in the washer. Water wastage too much. Not sure why, Samsung gives us the impression that their SMART phones and TV are good, but not for washing machines.
  21. Hahaha... Not uncle lah. I also shouted HUAT AH when we do the 动土 ceremony (don't want to admit I'm auntie)
  22. Not referring to big ID firms, but rather those contractor firms. Firstly, some contractors are lowly educated, but when comes to skill work, they are very good in that. They don't have this "scheming" mentality out there to cheat consumers' money. Even if they do, the most they take your money, close the firm and set up a new firm, but all these "revenues" cannot be registered under ACRA to declare this is their revenue per year; it is illegal. That's what I mean by it is not possible for contractor's firms to earn 1 million per year if they base on projects. Secondly, renovation this industry is not easy to earn especially there are many competitors around, and home owners keep squeezing them and end up they fight among each other to win over customers by their lowest price. And there are many times when they actually lose money on a certain project or screwed up some work that need to compensate to their clients. How I know they will lose money? My father also in this line.
