Barang Barang is not closed, there are still few their shops (Marina Square and Sungei Kadut). But, I'm not sure what they have there 'cos I wasn't at any of them quite long time.......

I've sent you PM.

There are more pics of them: Forgot to mention that total high is 140 cm (I mean, the circle is like that). My idea was to place it at baywindow between two windows so that I can normally open the windows. As well, the space in the lift is limited so it was question if shelves can be tranported in one piece with lift, not that people need to carry them by steps (we are at 12th floor) - happened that the lift width is 20 cm more that my shelves so there were not any problems with transportation to my place (of course, I measured the lift before ).

Already few times at Renotalk I've mentioned my custom made round bookshelves and finally here they are; This is original pic which I saw at internet and this is what I've got after ordering it custom made: Already 2-3 ago I saw that round bookshelves at internet and since then trying to find someone who can custom made them for me. I've asked at many shops around, but the price of $ 5,000 was really tooooo much - and (what is the best!) no one cannot guaranteed me that the shape will be exactly round like on pic cause they should place order in China and many times happened that delivered items are not quite what was ordered.....so I should pay 5k something which will not look like it should be and I need to be OK with that.... Well, from time to time at some hotels here in S'pore there are organized some fairs and bazaars ( http://www.facebook.com/fairsandbazaars?ref=stream ). The vendors are usually with clothes, jewelry, deco items, but at one @ Hilton hotel that Malacca Woodwork were there. So, that fairs are NOT furniture fairs, but they were there anyway. Their displayed small furniture items were very nice, especially small wooden bowls made of few wooden pieces. They are married couple with small family business; the man is in workshop and woman care about orders and all other stuff with customers. I've showed them that photo of bookshelves and first what I've asked was if they can made it exactly like it is at the photo - with no "it's so complicated, I'm not sure, maybe" or whatever else I've heard in some other shops before, the man said "yes, no problem at all"..... :yeah: Second question was about the price and I expected that will be similar like I've received until then, but the lady quoted me less then the half of the best price which I was offered before . The lady took the measurements, draw how that shelves should looks like, I've paid 30% of the price in advance on the spot and promised delivery time was 8 weeks. After I was a little bit worried 'cos I never saw them and never heard about them before, and they are in Malaysia so what if something will go wrong with items delivery or whatever, how I will get my money back.....but, my worries were really unnecessary. People are really very nice, polite, trustworthy and I was surprised about their customer care and communication thru emails with me. Happened that shelves were finished a week before delivery time, which was nice surprise as well . They delivered it at exactly agreed time, I didn't wait for them whole day despite that they are coming from Malaysia and must go thru customs. When I saw the shelves first time, I was smiling from ear to ear how I was happy about their look . Workmanship is excellent, finish as well, everything is much more than I expected that will be. And, it is made of "indonesian rosewood". So, I personally have really good experience with Malacca Woodwork ( http://www.malaccawoodwork.com/, and http://www.facebook.com/MalaccaWoodwork?ref=stream ) and I can really recommend them to anyone. Next week is The Fair @ Hilton hotel 13.-14.09.2012. (more info at FB site which I mentioned above about fairs) and they will be there. So, if someone would like to see what they can offer, as well as maybe to place some orders, it will be chance to spare trip to Malacca and see it at that Fair. Due to lack of space at Fair they cannot display many items, but anyway enough that someone can see their workmanship.

Four years ago we bought our L-shape sofa (2,8 x 2,8 m) + ottoman, dining table and 4 chairs from La Cafa. Then they were at Furniture Mall @ Beach Rd. Our salesman was Ivan and I'm very satisfied with him. We got what we ordered - material, shape, size .... everything. Delivery was exaclty on that day what was stated at order form, only Ivan called us few days before to confirm the time. Last year I've ordered 2 more chairs and there was no problem as well - shape, size, colour of fabric, everything were matching those what I ordered few years ago. Few months ago I was there passing by and saw Ivan in the shop. I don't know if he is still working at their new place @ Toh Guan Rd. Anyway, maybe your furniture were ordered from some other manufacturer with which were some problems, but we received ours all like it was stated at our order form.

Sorry, I was out of town few weeks....... Well, Mary introduced herself to me like owner - since I had problems to contact Imran, I called or send sms to every phone No. wich I've found at their website and finally she replied to me. When I explained to her what is all about, that I've ordered some art piece and that I was in contact with owner Imran but he is not answering any more, she said that Imran is not the owner and that she is the one...... Anyway, after she replied, the whole thing was really quickly solved and I received my art piece very soon after. Pic? I will take a photo of it in the next few days and post it here.

Usually big supermarkets, like FairPrice Extra or Giant or Carrefour, will have them. As well, try look at HomeFix (at Marina Square is the biggest - there I bought one for maindoor entrance) or SelfFix (at Vivo).

Stainless Steel Corner Cabinet Swivel Carousel
Andreja replied to calmwaters's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
Try to look at http://www.leahuat.com.sg/ . There is an catalogue of their products, look at "Drawer basket". Then, Seawalk Hardware will maybe have what are you looking for http://www.seawalkhardware.com/products.php?id=14 (go to "Kitchen Functional"). Next, you may look at Excel http://www.excelhw.com.sg/ . Here is their catalogue with kitchens stuff http://www.excelhw.com.sg/index2.php?option=com_flippingbook&view=book&id=23 . Mind that they maybe will be pricey...... When I tried to find some of that kind of shelving, after all those shops at IMM and Balestier Rd, decided to go to Excel. By the way, I saw some hardware shop at #01 of Northlink Building, and find there exactly what I looked around (actually, my measurements were very odd, so that's way it was hard to find cause it wasn't something common). That hardware shop doesn't have any web-site, but here are their addresses: Viborg Trading Pte Ltd ** 277 Kranji Rd S(739512) Tel:+65 63682252 ** 10 Admiralty St #01-04 NorthLink Bldg S(757695) Tel:+65 68541488 Advice to go personally there as they have many catalogues and many brands to look at. I was 2-3 times there, and always was very crowded and saw that sometimes they do not have time to answer the phone..... -
Dishwasher Brandt - only because 3 y ago it was the only one which I found to need the shortest time for washing (1,5 h for normal dishwashing, and all other brands was 2,5 h) Cooking hob, hood and oven Electrolux - instaled by developer, but I have no objections At my homecountry all appliances I have are from Ariston - nothing personal, just liked the design 10 y ago...

Pd Door have some sliding doors, check their website http://www.pddoor.com/ .

Exactly this one I don't know where to find, but here you will find something similar (if you're not so keen to find only that one at your photo): http://www.ikea.com/sg/en/catalog/products/50182192/ http://www.vhive.com.sg/listing.php?cat_p=35&cat_c=39 If you want wooden one, I saw nice at "2010 Lifestyle" http://www.2010lifestyle.com.sg/ . At their website is not shown what they have in the shop, so sugest to go there to see what they have to offer. This divider at your photo look like to have aluminium frame - maybe to ask at "pd door" http://www.pddoor.com/ if they can customise something like that. They have lot of foldable doors, so maybe they can for you do only panels without frame......
-
To me, it looks like normal 2 separated wall-mounted shelves..... If you want like that, you can find it at Ikea http://www.ikea.com/sg/en/catalog/products/20186182/#/60186199 .

Currently, there is some "deal" for similar transparent shoe boxes at cupree.com - http://coupree.com/deal/simpang-tiga-mobile-pte-ltd/just-1290-for-four-transparent-shoe-boxes-available-in-7-different-colours--free-delivery-worth-48?utm_source=ilovedealssg&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=ilovedeals . Here is another one at some other website http://cute4ever.com/listing/1311353917 . This one is one website from S'pore where you can find some similar shoe boxes http://www.theclearshoeboxes.com/index.php . Last year I saw some of that kind of shoe boxes at Daiso, I think that one at Vivo. And finally, Ikea have some transparent boxes for shoes, but there are made of polyester and mesh, not plastic. As well, they are not whole transparent, just at front (but, I think that should be enough to see what pair of shoes is inside cos sides, top and bottom anyway will be covered with other boxes so no need to be transparent) http://www.ikea.com/sg/en/catalog/products/80219599/ http://www.ikea.com/sg/en/catalog/products/90193382/#/80186396 .
