I just got mine at IKEA. Feel of the quality is good. I personally prefer heavier plates and bowls. Corelle is too light for me.

couldn't find any thread about this particular electrical store, therefore i would like to share this with all forumers who is looking for electrical appliances for their home. i was looking around for household appliances recently for my new home. visited the major stores in singapore but their pricing was way over my budget. and the only way for them to meet my budget is to "downgrade" the items i'm looking for. then i saw this place lioncity co. and their pricing was rather competitive as compared to those big stores. so after discussion with my wife we decided to head down to the store and try to see if their price could be further lowered. for the items i bought: 1. front load washer(1400rpm with steam function) 2. cast iron hob 3. chimney hood 4. side by side fridge 5. silent vacuum of ~68dB 6. 29" led tv 7. built in oven 8. microwave oven with grill function 9. electrical thermal pot all items above quoted by the bigger stores ranging from 6000 to 6500 after their best discounts. but i got these at just 5200 from lioncity co. my jaw dropped when i saw the price they quote us. and without much consideration we placed a 20% deposit immediately. the person who served us was patient too. please note that i do not work for them nor am i in anyway related to them.

L-box for all rooms 7. L-box with cove light for living 8. feature wall with console 9. feature wall to cover bomb shelter door 10. study area divider 11. study table with top hung cabinet 12. full height shoe cabinet 13. walk in wardrobe for master 14. redo balcony(open concept with platform) the above are the items i asked for quotes and all return above my budget, and worst thing is no electrical work included.if include toilet accessories, kitchen sink and tap, lightings and electrical works the amount will come up to around est. $60K+. me and my wife start to feel that we under budget ourselves. but we really hope that we do not need to spend so much. abit dejected in this renovation process already.

Advice Needed!
Cyril1986 replied to Cyril1986's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
Thanks mark for the reply! I've thought bout it. Let say I go for BTO Waiting time around say 3years. Renting a unit cost around 2k so 2000 x 3 x 12 = 72k that is almost like I buy resale. For balance flat sales, recently they just pushed out a batch of huge quantity. I really doubt there will be any more release until end of 2012 or even later. Sigh. Really very stress over this issue. Like walking to dead end on every turn I take. -
I'm new to this forum and after reading up lots of thread I decided to seek help here. So it starts like this: I just got married on sept 2011. Both parents passed away and left a 4 room flat for my younger bro and I. However both of our character clashes and can't stay together under the same roof. Now I'm looking for a suitable place to stay ASAP. And this comes to a question of BTO OR RESALE? If BTO, I'll need to wait for at least 3 years before moving in to my new place. During this period of time where should I stay? If RESALE, the up front cash is too high for me to afford. Even though I can use the proceedings from the sale of my current 4 room to cover. But it's really a lot of cold hard cash. Plus renovation plus furniture and appliances. How much do I need to cough out with? I'm really lost and really don't know what to do already. Desperately need help from people who could guide me to the light. Please drop me a mail at cyril_ian@hotmail.com or in this thread to give me the advice I needed. Thanks a lot and really appreciate it for all the kind souls help.
