  1. mbr. i kinda like the way my aircon contractors run the aircon pipings. first layer of paint up. backgrd the citygas piping also done. so only left one room and one big connected room. (:
  2. did a pigeon hole on the right side of the bomb shelter. later will show a clearer picture. did a partition for my common room to act like an opening for the walk in wadrobe. initially planned for a sliding door but later part decided to let go the idea.. view from the door entrance to my mbr. doing false ceilings as well.
  3. laying of homo tiles. false ceilings for cove lights in living room. passage way false ceiling and a gypsum board standby to seal up the door to the room that was hacked to connect to mbr.
  4. hacked a 90deg wall connecting my mbr and common room. hacked a part of the kitchen off, open concept.
  5. Hi everyone. Joined here for a while, always been a reader and occasionally poster. seen alot of nice reno, and learn abit of things from here. Initially hesistated about sharing the reno journey or doing a reno tblog cos its quite time consuming and dunno able to commit anot heh. anyway cut the story short, will try to update as much as possible and to share our reno journey and learn along the way. background info, collected our keys back in end january. searched ard for IDs began before key collection, went to abt 8-9 IDs and finally decided on plushliving... and there the journey begins.....
  6. deposit already paid, i doubt they will refund. hold the balance payment till u're satisfied with the goods delivered. be firm with your balance payment.. or see if u can change the item to maybe just one or 2 big item to minimize on the total amount and minimize on the total number of items bought. so maybe this way can focus easily and the rest of the items maybe u can buy elsewhere headache free. but of cos if u wan u can choose to wait and hope for the best.
  7. first of all, how much deposit u paid? read up the most recent case at the fcc thread and u can see already. dont ever hope they will deliver to u smooth sailing. too many case already. its possible to cancel one ah? then lose deposit? i have a friend who recently had a **** headache case with them.. i think he'll come in and post soon.
  8. furnituremart has a showroom at kaki bukit there, been there few days ago. thot of buying but still feel abit uncomfortable buying furnitures that havent seen before..
  9. mattress is very subjective one. buy according to what u feel comfortable when lying down.. furniture mall has other mattresses as well, did u try them all out?
  10. dining light pretty neat...
  11. oh. u posted here as well. yeah no worries lah, not like u're related to them. they are supposed to come out with space planning with some forms of drawings, if not how they propose or present to u. i met many IDs, all proposed with 2D drawings/space planning.
  12. u gg for open concept kitchen? mine too! waiting to see yr kitchen pics.
  13. adjusted. max till the top still got 3 fingers gap. funny leh.. if put shelf on top sure dont look nice. got to request another extension to stretch it longer. usually chimney comes with 2 pcs extendable, mine full stretched liao.. chimney backing is just the carpentry with lamnates, flushed with my kitchen cabinets..
  14. my chimney hood got abit of hiccups eh. arrived yday.. when full stretch still got abit 3-4 fingers gap to the top. now they are suggesting whether to up a shelf to make up the gap or ask whether can get another extension for the chimney anot.. sianz. but hear the carpenter says the length shld be standard one. dunno if u will encounter this problem.. jus some heads up.. and the glass panel got a chip, will ask for a replacement..
  15. anyway nowadays the kitchen is already small and pathetic like ****, if this cannot face that, that cannot face this then end up some might be at service yard. space constraint already, left with no choice.
  16. anyway its up to yr comfort lvl cos u'll be the one using it. u can try grab the display sets during the coming show, but must go early cos display usually within hours of opening all gone. btw bro, for yr hobz hood u took chimney or slim?
  17. har? when they delivered a used set u mean impossible to know ar? bro, if that's the case nobody will buy new one leh. anyway like what others says, if its TV on display at those big stores then its been on for many many hours, unless it's IT show then its worth buying. i believe for the D5500 series u mentioned its going for $649? i think brand new the price difference shldnt be alot as they are clearing sets already for their new generation TVs. can check out megastore, other dealers to see and compare prices. sometimes courts is on the higher side. cheers.
  18. oh yah now that u mentioned, that post is really gone. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
  19. im also with partition board. unless yr kid plays wwe with jack hammer or sth or else wont be that bad lah.
  20. haha how low is low?? i initially also set quite a low budget but met a few ids and seems like its hard to hit. dont wanna go contractor way cos of the time management. i abit nua to do a renoblog, so see hw ppl do lor. same like u guys, im in a midst of reno as well. bought a hobz cooker and hood also, best thing is.... havent seen the real thing in display before. lol....
  21. hi. im from dew spring, your neighbour across~ :notti:
  22. wow. really abit hard to swallow on the conditions on the handover. but as you mentioned, the poor guy has nowhere to go, so kudos for you on showing some kind of sympathy. just take it as doing a good deed for the more unfortunate peeps. bookmarked your thread bro, wanna see how you transform this into a beautiful house~
  23. no lah no hacking where got so much. 800-900 jus to clear rubbish? so good ah. no hacking shld be ard 200-300. u kena charged 800-900 for haulage without hacking?
  24. lol. why did u still buy a basin from them in the end after arguing? shld have just left.. there are still lots of place selling basins. actually i feel that they are not totally wrong in terms of that chipped basin, cos no one knows who chipped it. might be your contractor who chipped it. of cos its best to insepct everything when items arrived on the spot with their delivery. reject anything on the spot to avoid such things happening. anyway its a $80 item only so just take it as lesson learnt bah. lightings.com.sg is different.. they have 7 days 1 to 1 xchange plus 1yr warranty for their stuffs of cos they have to honour their warranty, theres black and white..
