ok... no problem Choose Daikin becos i find it better. More reliable. Last time i sell ac gas (refrigerant), still find Daikin more durable. However, having said that, maintenance is always a must in prolonging the life of your ac system. Daikin is one of the market leaders for quite some time (my own opinion). Panasonic on the other hand, is value for money. Was also considering that but well, pay abit more to get a reliable system (not saying Panasonic is not reliable) but still more or less, a preferred brand. Afterall, its a big value item. Got my keys in Nov 2011 (i am one of the lst few batches to get the keys), been through 6 IDs / contractors. Finally come down to one that can meet my budget and also that we are comfortable with. Due to have a final meet up with my ID this coming sat, there are some mods to be propose as we have just seen a FSM yesterday. Not too much changes but need to change the position of one of the doors in one of the rooms. I tot you should up ur ac system lst before reno....? that should be ideally the case? IF possible, let me know by this coming Friday whether you wanna group with me... no obligations though.... I never earn from this transaction, just an option for u to consider as I find their workmanship not bad. PM me if u want to know more... Thanks.

I am glad that I am not the only one who find him sucks big time... he kept pushing us the mattress he find good enough for his use. Even though we are still undecided on whether this is the right mattress for us. I find it lucky that i never buy from him

Thanks alot for sharing. Just to check, will you be doing build in cabinets or you buy off the shelf? if doing carpentry for BI cabinets, will the cabinets house the air con conduit internally? Thanks.

Both belonged to the same boss. This is what i learnt from a saleslady in X'clusive. But they do cater to different markets. One is high end (you will get the feel when u entered the X'clusive showroom), one is more to budget like. Check with u, is the salesman who served ur parents, hair dyed to golden colour? chinese guy in mid to late 40s? i dont really recall his name. But tall (approx. 1.75m) and thin skinny guy. Look like ah beng one? his face quite rough, alot of pimples scars? U can send complaints / feedback to X'clusive side... if can, shoot up to their top management. I hope the boss of Rozel is reading this... Pushy salesman with poor quality products...is this how they operate and survive in the market? will only make ur reputation stinko

Hi Bro, It will depends on you where hacking is concerned. Do note that when hacking is done, there are bound to be more changes as time goes by. Cos in the mid of hacking or even thinking of what to do, more ideas would come up and cost would definately increases (this is what my ID have told me and I agree with it). Our plan is to have the entrance wall remains as it is and to install a PD door to cover it (purpose : my mum cooks alot and this will minimise smoke from coming out of the kitchen). Having said this, the door to the service yard, we will not remove it as it serve the same purpose of minimising smoke from going out to the service yard (imagine that you have clothes hanging there and the smoke stained your clothing in terms of smell). Having said that, the inwards opening of this service yard door is really dont know what to say, they should have made outwards opening... Windows to service yard is to prevent rain from coming in...I would be installing that. My old house also hacked away the AL door to service yard. It made the kitchen looks bigger but well, its really up to u...

The shop on the right hand side of Rozel (at Jurong), if your back is facing IMM, belongs to the same boss.... Sorry, i forgotten what name is that RHS shop.

For wet and hot area (Where ur stove and water basin are located), it is recommended to have a concrete structure. This would be the most lasting and durable. Having said that, such a structure is not in tune with looks (even though we can improve the outlook by choosing dark homo tiles). For cabinet kitchen top, recommended to go for granite or quartz surface instead of solid top as solid top are made of mixture of plastic (cannot withstand heat and stains).

I went there about 6 weeks ago. Was serviced by a guy, mid 30s, with golden hair. Looks like old beng. At lst was quite friendly, followed us around. Then when he realised we are getting our new flat, he asked us whether we are interested in getting mattress. So we just followed him to the mattress section. He tried to hard sell us the mattress (cannot really rem the brand, should be sweet dreams). Original pricing is approx 1.9k, he reduced it to 1.5k, then say give us two pillows worth S$ 99 each or $199 each. Cannt really remember. We told him we will consider, not due to the fact we cannot afford but as its a big item thing, we would really take some time to consider carefully. Then guess what, off he went, and he came back 1 min later, telling us this is one very good deal and he spoken to his supervisor, best price is 1.3k with the same pillow. Wanna us to place a deposit. I was quite pissed off by then, i told him i will consider as its a big item. He kept on selling the good points of the mattress and when he ran out of words, he asked us what is the price we are looking at? , giving us the impression as if we cannot afford it. I told him straight off that price is NOT and NEVER an issue. I even stressed that if I like that pc of mattress, I dont mind him not giving me a discount and also would immediately purchased it. The issue is that, we would like to have a look at other brands and would not like to commit so fast to such a big purchase item. Our feel is that, that particular salesman does NOT understand what we need and instead try to force us to purchase the mattress without even understanding what we need. What he feel good does not necessary meant that it is good. Anyway, the furniture shop beside this Rozel at IMM also belongs to the same boss, however, if u would to walk into this other shop, the service treatment is totally different. The atmosphere is also very very different. One is for the budget, the other is more high end.... So, imho, just be careful and DO shop around. Dont commit on the spot else u will regret. I never like pushy salesmen, once they pissed me off, i just walk out. Simple as that

What Is Your Favourite Brand For Fridge? :)
herbalteh replied to Renosotong's topic in Electronics & Electricals
My current home using F & P for almost close to 15 years now. Still surviving. Only drawback is that the magnetic strap have degraded (sealing have faded and there is abit of corrosion. Otherwise, still going strong without any major problems. Anyone tried Samsung RT63PBSL ? been aiming at this model for quite some time.... TIA -

haha, its been almost one month 5 days since i got the keys to my flat, spoken to 3 IDs and 1 contractor, kicked out 1 within 2 weeks (due to very pushy and agressive nature, kept on condemning other contractors), shortlisted the other two, say no to 1 of the IDs (due to workmanship issues - not that satisfied with the job done one of the flats) only recently, then still pending for a revised quotation from the other one but still keeping options open as we are not rushing for renovation yet... Nothing has been firm up yet. Planned to start only after CNY. More or less, we know what we want to do. Now I am sourcing for air con installation. Any one willing to share what they are getting? I have got one offer today. Panasonic inverter system 3 - approx. S$ 3.2k (everything in)...supply and install Daikin inverter system 3 - Approx S$ 3.6k (everthing in)...supply and install Mit System 3 inverter - was told not recommended due to aftersales support is quite ex and faced some trouble... Workmanship on this installer - I have no worries as I know them since 2007 (they are one of my reliable customer as i previously sold air con refrigeration gas to them. They have done install and supply of one daikin system at my bro's house a few years back and its problem free so the trust on the workmanship is there. Moreover, based on past dealings with them, they are quite '' zai'' on such installations. Now is the pricing only... Any comments on air con? brands / reliability and why? Been surfing on the net for these info recently...
