that is wat i'm thinking leh... seriously i tink i shd do this...

if i see the workers, i will let them know or probably i shd ask my contractors to tell his workers? will that be better? if the contractor brings ppl to the house and see, it's a different thing coz the contractor is there and he did up the house so i feel he at least got some rights.... my dad asked me not to reproach them or say them... just let it pass i only scare will have second, third and fourth time

xinyi, same thinking as u since my contractor says can then i shd listen to him i wonder how the indian will feel if his boss's customers asked him to do the things directly... i mean, is like by-passing the boss and the boss dunno wat had been done, wat havent been done any ways that i can hint subtlely in the forum that they shd at least ask for my permission before entering my house, even though there're workers inside? i mean, that is the basic courtesy rite? i know i wont do this to other ppl. but apparently, my parents told me it's very common when the flats are under reno. not only neighbours, some passers-by may just pop in like dat remembered one sunday i was at my new place. then this young couple open my main door. yes! my main door is SHUT! they opened it and saw me and some neighbours inside talking. they just apologised saying they thot is show flat then closed the door WTF!! show flat will put a sign there mah... their eyes got stamp huh? got see signages there meh? haizz... i didnt know youngsters will behave this way u know... the way they're behaving is just like those aunties... really dunno they are like dat... i mean i appreciate that they're "concern" abt my reno. but at least show some respect to me as the owner... any ways to hint them?? u know, that time i went to that neighbour's house and saw the workers doing his carpentary although i've called him up just mins ago telling him we will drop by, but we didnt even dare to walk in when we couldnt see him at the main door!! it's like, the owner is not in and although the workers are in, we shd at least seek permission from the owner mah...

there actually nearer than from my current place at least take NEL only 29 mins compared to 40 mins now... hi gals... yesterday went down to check everything ok to me leh... a question here i've mentioned that the contractor hasnt done the wiring for my 2-way switch rite? i called him yesterday he said can do it later on then my neighbour kept telling me say tell the contractor no use must go talk to the indian guy who is doing the wiring... so how? my parents oso say dun care abt the neighbours coz they too free nothing to do one thing i discovered and not really happy is that i found out that they went into my house last sat without my permission, when the painters are at work even though they have my mobile number, they never even bother to call / sms me and ask for my permission dunno they got wear their shoes in anot if my floors are scratched then who shd i hold responsible for? i find it very rude of them to do so leh however, my parents say it's like dat one... hubby says nvm... but i still not happy with them leh

ya.. then by the time i reached there 7 plus dark dark anything oso cant see... sianzzz....

i havent pack up yet lah... today not bringing laptop back feel like leaving the screen open leh but scare wait ppl steal my privacy filter... close then obvious i ciao liao but no choice... thanks, Air i hope so too...

colleagues not sitting next to me act for wat? only thing is later if they happened to walk past my desk then cannot find me nia... i even closed off my instant messaging hrs ago 50 more mins..... actually i saw my col went off at 530pm but he came in later than me then again, he worked here longer than me so.... haizz...

so far we walked ard the tiles are rather aligned... ya i oso afraid heels will scratch the flooring ok... later checklist: 1) check painting 2) check wiring 3) check flooring tink i shd be able to reach before 7pm. just pray that i dun get "caught" by ppl i know when i'm sneaking out... my own team members still ok. but not by other team members... boss is not here today so far my contractor still ok just dat he's da mn busy lately and i cant get hold of him sometimes

haizz... tink later is to make sure the painting is ok and the questions on the wirings for my contractor... i tink floorings most likely is ok... since i have my heels with me today, see how much time i have then check it out weekends i normally dun wear heels... no marbles oso my the other neighbour oso tell me weekend go check can liao dat's why now i dun go down during weekdays evening but this neighbour is making me scare... sekali really got defect then cannot rectify then i die... stressed leh :~

so far my flooring is covered with cardboards. i guess it's a way to protect being scratched so i didnt remove it in case the workers scratched it. tink i shd remove and check it out? i oso go in and see see look look, everything looks ok then i left... wirings my neighbour says has to have wires hanging at the location i want my switch to be located... so far i wanted a 2 way switch and an additional switch but no signs of the second switch's wires for the 2 way or the additional switch. tink i may have to call my contractor again later when i'm there... other than that, the flooring looks ok leh... no protrudings that we notice... going to check out the painting oso... i tink the most headache part is the wirings... how to check for hollows for flooring? and gaps etc?? dun understand how come my neighbours have so much time to go down every nite probably they dun have to help out at their current place?? and most of them have cars de loh... dat's why easier for travelling i cant go down too often too coz my parents (esp my mum) will say how come not hubby go down and check but always i go physically and mentally very stressful

urs is ID mine is contractor. probably dat's the diff? coz he told me if anyting not wrong must rectify else too late cannot rectify liaoz my wiring i oso have some doubts... later go check out the paint colours and the wirings again do i have to check the flooring? my colleagues say walk ard with high heels. so if got different sound then that means that piece of tile not done properly wat else do i have to look out for?

ya... but they too on liao i feel very stressful... i oso wish to go and check frequently but i dun have a car and my work place is so freaking far and ending at 6pm! and if i reach home late, my parents' schedule will be pushed backwards oso... then my dog oso gotta have her dinner late... really very tired

feeling very stressed all of the sudden seems like we cant be bothered with our reno... my neighbours said we shd go and check in the evening whenever something is done but hubby doesnt take the initiative... it's always me going down to check in the evenings of weekdays... dunno wat to check oso

tink i gotta ciao earlier today my neighbour just told me i shd go and check out my reno... really didnt check properly yet... thot 2morow can go early morning but end up still gotta come to office first... haiz... super stressed now

i prefer my position now pay not a lot but wont starve responsibilities ok, workload ok, suka do, bo suka then dun do lah then wanna job hop oso easier.... if i were already managerial level in previous company, i'm sure i will still be stuck there

suffer means 2 types one is emotionally and the other one is financially for u, coz ur hubby is quite focussed on u, u are emotionally satisfied dat's why u're looking into financial aspect not easy to achieve both with a balance no matter how, i believe sure can make it even if u have a kid my sis wasnt working when she was preggie my BIL only earning quite little oso now they're both ok... abit hard but at least both are united

same same... i used to envy those who kept promoting but end of the day, after promotion, still doing same thing mah so wat? no change at all... i dun mind be my own boss if i can if he becomes wat u desired, more successful, he might change no one will stay the same... for better or worse if it's for the worse, will u prefer him to be slack but faithful to u than successful but changed to a totally different person? u will feel differently if he has no time for u.. now coz ur hubby has time to spend with u dat's why u're thinking this way

agree with Air as long as he has planning for both of u in the future, cfm wont suffer lah!

i know for my hubby, he feels that it's a waste of time climbing up the corporate ladder coz no matter how high u are, if the company doesnt need u, they dun need any reason he feels that money is more impt. so he rather stay stagnant but do his own sideline... his bro is now holding a much higher position than him but i told hubby before. it's not that he cannot do wat his bro had achieved. it's just that his thinking is different from his bro. and if he really wanna climb up the corporate ladder, i believe he can do better than his bro

wat short term?? i had been earning more than him for a few yrs and if i changed to a similar work scope previously, my pay will be much much higher than him... i really dun bother about this. i think hubby wont mind too. of course i dun behave bossy to him lah... instead, he's the one who is bossy to me

my pay used to be higher than hubby's for me, still ok leh... he's fine with it too (from what i know) but now i kena paycut so his is higher than mine
