  1. Haha thanks! Cost of over laying both toilets floor and wall tiles is slightly more than $3000. Height is typical ceiling height I guess? Wall dimensions u can refer to floor plan in my first post. If you're asking about wall/floor tiles I forgot the exact measurements le :(
  2. Hi, that's homo indeed. I got it along Balestier, Lian Seng Hin if I nvr recall wrongly. ID bring me de
  3. Not yet giving me problems but then again I haven't moved in, will let you know once I encounter problems. As for the cost, it's lumped together w the cabinets and sink/hob installation so no breakdown leh :(
  4. Wow I almost could not tell the whole thing was raised until I compare it against the bay window side! The parquet is nice! Nice dark tone with strong consistency through out the whole floor. 12 inch by 2.5 inch? Nice going bro!
  5. Hi, it's two pieces of sliding glass door at entrance, u can barely see their sides in the second picture. Anything else you'd like to know?
  6. Haha paiseh I noob, don't know this and that how thick... All I know is it says there in quotation "6mm thick tampered spray paint glass" I am ok with orange but I thought it somehow turned out well haha so used it lor... Glad you like it! Give me some comfort!
  7. Yah no shower screen, in future if have 3rd member in family need to put in bathtub, with shower screen cannot fit...
  8. You're good! I just checked quotation I think is 6mm spray-on tempered glass... I'm so blur!
  9. Yes, orange glass backing, drill through to install... I told my ID where to drill, how long the rod (buy rod and pass to him first), etc. As for what kind of glass he use, how he create the orange backing, I don't know the details liao...
  10. Ok I look forward to your pics... I think I know what it is liao I almost did that one... But I scared my shin or toes knock onto edges so scrap the idea... I were you I'd go with platform though else like you said, the concrete there really take up precious space...
  11. Oh... Paiseh lah bro didn't know that part mah... Eh... Raised platform u mean raise the floor level?
  12. Oh? They give you bay window in the MBR ah?!! Can ask ID whether can remove? At most hack?
  13. Bro to be honest not much space leh, bed to cupboard about 3 feet, bed to window about the same... Bo bian leh HDB flats now very small, I'm glad they nvr give me seattee in my MBR else jialat, no space to even walk!
  14. Thanks casa and mikeyong500! :) Btw I forgot to upload MBR toilet. The MBR toilet follows a similar feel to the MBR and is very different from the common bathroom. Again, I played with the lightings...
  15. Hee thanks applepie and junmover! Great assurance from you guys! Romeltic let me check and get back to you by tonight.
  16. No problem - I actually sent you an email on what you need, hope I could be of help to you.
  17. Thanks for the assurance Jaskel! Hope I contributed back to the community in a way as well!
  18. Last but definitely not the least, I would like to provide some feedback about my ID. This Roy Tan from IR Design... I was a little skeptical at first cos he did not have a showroom like those bigger ID firms... But well I did a little homework on him and with the recommendation of my friend, I decided to go with him because I was assured of the quality after exploring my friend's house + seeing his reasonable quotation. Design Process OK Roy is not those arty-farty designers who conjure very unique and out of the norm designs. He is more of a practical, clean, receptive person and wants the best for your house in terms of its use, not just the looks alone. More importantly, he is willing to spend time looking at our proposed theme and features to bring out the "feel" that we want. He is definitely receptive when it comes to ideas yet is bold to point out when we stray on the wrong track. Really appreciate him for this... Works Process No renovation is perfect. There are times minor things require touch ups and due to my busy schedule, little hiccups and delays do occur. Roy is always patient and willing to correct the wrong. In fact, I got to trust him so much I eventually told my air-con supplier to liaise directly with him - the installation of air con was done without my supervision and I was happily attending to office needs instead. More importantly, the quality is there as well. The handicraft, worksmanship of the parquet flooring, laminates, mounting of granite, mirrors, etc. After sales I told Roy that I won't be moving in till late October, of which if there are other small defects or issues arising after I moved in, I would only get to know them 6 months later. He would always bring his hand to his ear and say "Call me". Well I hope I don't have to call him again, and in the event I do, I think he would pick up my call... But well for this area, only time can tell! :) Overall rating I'd give this chap a 9/10. Responsive, not pushy with sales or ideas, most importantly not out to axe newbies like me... He even explained to me after he collected his final payment that the angle of the edges of the cabinet door has to be precise in order for a good grip when opening those cabinets... Disclaimer I might not get back to this post as often as I'd like to, but if you have comments/queries/whatever, please feel free to drop me an email - sporzboi@yahoo.com. I'd reply asap... I hope to provide a little help back to this community as much as I had received guidance from predecessors. To all renovators out there, good luck and hope you have an even better renovation than me! Cheers! :) :) :)
  19. The spare room is kept empty for prayer, games, etc. Baby blue walls with greyish wardrobes, and nothing else. Did I mess up matching these 2 colours? I didn't want my ID to have much say in this room so yup he did not get much chance to provide feedback...
  20. The kitchen carries a similar colour scheme with the study room for the 2 main reasons. 1. I don't want to get bored in the kitchen and fall asleep and set it aflame! 2. I like this colour scheme (duh again!) Pls forgive me again for the barang barang (esp the pail in the laundry area which is really an eyesore!) that I was too tired and lazy to remove.
  21. The study room! The study room was designed to have flashy and bright colours so that I will not fall asleep should I need to study or work late... It will hence share a similar modern look as the living room but carry a different set of colour theme... And I actually wanted to swap the orange with black but I guess I was too bold and I guess a black base with orange will be better than orange base with black... Thanks to wifey and ID Roy to quickly point this out... The black panel to the left is actually my wardrobe, nothing spectacular to warrant more shots... The concrete ledge at the window bay was extended slightly and converted into a seattee area for the overly hardworking to lie down and have a rest should the going gets tough... The wall that is on the opposite side of the study area...
  22. Alright the Master Bedroom... We wanted the MBR to have a cosy, homely feel, yet having the option to brighten up when needed. I'll just show you the "warm" look without the cove lights. Oh and the last picture is to thank my ID Roy for adding in the feature of "lightings in air-plane" concept, so that wifey can get to sleep with minimal light if I want to carry on reading some stuff, vice versa... Pls forgive me if the photos look slightly slanted - I am really a lousy photographer!
