Update on the false ceiling. AC piping to be box up. False ceiling done. AC piping to be box up. AC piping along the Corridor box up.

My HDB approved kitchen floor top up. (Due to the extension of the living hall.) My living area is now 6900mm X 2860mm. A least a good size for my dining table and mini L shape sofa.

Shower Curb If you take a closer look you will notice the titles on top are all in 2 sections. Why? Since I am installing glass doors for both bathrooms. I have requested the glass door to be build in a way when is closed it will sit above the tilted titles (inside bathroom) so to avoid water spilling during shower. (I hope this idea will work.)

Updates on the 9W OSRAM downlight. I hope you all can see the build of the downlight. (Powder coating on the casing don't look cheap.)

Here you go. This is the best I can do. (No way to move further. Else I have to knock a hole into the neighbour’s place.)

I need something advice. We plan to paint the whole place with 1 uniform color + white ceiling. Do you think the color 'special touch' will make the place dark and small? Please IG the other color. I have attached a sample of my flooring

We did the false ceiling for the whole house including the toilets and storeroom. Even with the false ceiling we still have 2.49m of ceiling height. Safe to install both my ceiling fans. The next challenge is to box up all the pipes. I just have to leave it in the good hands of Big A. How my MBR looks now.

Thanks. Maybe I have to go around and see if I can find any nice ones.

NICE!! I was contemplating with cove too but I give up the idea after reading below. *Quote After much consideration, I have decided to drop the idea of having a L-box or light cove because: 1. It will gather dust and when strong wind blows, the whole house will be very dusty. 2. It's the best place for the insects to commit mass suicide, dun wanna climb up and clear the mess *Unquote

Gas and water pipes. No $$$ to box up other than the false ceiling. My instruction to my contractor as below. 1. Pipes will not be paint 2. Pipe must be straight 3. No overlapping below false ceiling And the result was ‘Excellence’. You will normally see the manufacturer marking on the water pipe. However mine were all rotated to expose only shining side. Nice detailing by the contractor. Even the wall clips are all in line.

To save cost. No ID was involved. Designed by me + Mr Google and a reliable contractor found in Renotalk.

Oh my LED down light is only 9W each. We also spread out the light sources to have an even light distribution through the house. Good reading material regarding lighting. http://www.the-house-plans-guide.com/lighting-calculation.html http://www.the-house-plans-guide.com/lighting-calculation.html

Mine are all conceal in the false ceiling. I dare not see the bill for electrical work.

No worries mate. No cove. No hanging lights. To play safe i have grouped them in pairs for the hall and bedrooms... At least their are independent. If I find they too bright I will off half.

Let me explain. We based on the lumens to calculate the number of lights need. Do you think we over did it.Hall 10x Kitchen 5x C bed room 4x M bed room 4x C toilet 1x M toilet 1x Common corridor 1x Store room 1x Total 27x

Day 22 Is real madness! Not over the renovation but with my work. Some updates on the renovation work for this week. We hope to finish all the electric works, box up and the false ceiling by this week so we can start with the real action. Check out the number of cables. To be exact I have 27 down lights for the whole place.

Day 16 Finally I manage to find time to update my T blog. Was super busy with my rice bowl. Basically the water piping and plastering are done. To save time I requested BIG 'A' to arrange the electrical, piping and ceiling work all to come on the same time. OMG dont try doing it if you are bad in coordinating. After plastering
