  1. Thanks Critic for your kind assistance, but i called Brandt Office, they are not selling anymore as the warehouse sales is strictly for two days. I believed the saleperson won't be able to sell it to Black Sesame. Dear Black Sesame, So sorry i can't disclose the price, very sensitive as i might sabotage the salesperson. i checked with Brandt. To my understanding, it has been discontinued islandwide, but u still can try your luck at Harvey Norman Millenia Walk as they might have a few units left for sale. I was told to look for sales specialist Benjamin or Michael if you need further assistance...
  2. Hi, u can always visit the showroom at no 7 jalan kilang, 3rd floor. They had a live kitchen showroom and they can on and show it to u to clear your benefit of doubt. But the model on display is the new model (forgotten the product model), the ventilation hole is 45 degree down, behind the handle. The sales person operated the oven and show me, so far i see nothing wrong with it. Anyway the model i bought comes with a cool door function (4 glass panels) I will be moving in to my new house in end Nov or early dec, will try to feedback the pros and cons after my actual use of the oven.
  3. Hi guys, Juz wanna to share my experience with Brandt Asia. I am convinced and bought a Hood Hob oven from the warehouse sales. AD990XC (Made in China) or AD658XC (Made in France)? Bought AD990XC Ti607BU1 (75cm 2 Zone) or TI828BT1 (Display set)? Bought TI607BU1 FP867XS1 (current model), FE1011XS (New model) or Display units? Bought FP867XS1 as the display unit ovens are sold out when I reached at 12 plus on Saturday. So fast!!! I was actually still considering but the sales personnel who serve me was very professional and makes me convinced to buy from them. I pen down some points what he had explained. Hood, why I chosen AD990XC instead of AD658XC although it is made from China. He did a comparison between the two hoods: AD990XC using baffle filter with LED light and current market trend is Box design. Advantage: No loss of suction power and it’s quieter. Disadvantage: Baffle filter are heavier as compare to mesh filter but still can trap more oil, something like what u saw in “Zhi Char” stall. AD658XC using mesh filters with two Halogen lights. Advantage: Mesh filter are lighter. Comes with 4 power mode. Disadvantage: Much nosier as compare to AD99XC, lost of 10% to 20% suction power as compare to baffle filter. Since I seldom cook and nowadays there are many brands taking hood from China, we should give a try since Brandt is quite well known in cooking. Induction: initially I intended to get glass gas stove instead of induction hob as I never use such high tech hob before. He did explain to me the cooking time between the two, one cook 8mins and the other using only 4mins. To clear my doubt, he went to the pantry and fills some water using the induction pot and cook. To my surprise, the water starts boiling within 45 sec using the booster function. I switch my mind getting induction, but juz as i intend to get the display unit of the 3 zone which is discontinued, he stop me from buying and explained the 3 zone 60cm induction hob is using 32amp which is not suitable for HDB. Buying TI607BU1 (using 15amp) will be the preferred choice, so sad but I had to go for it. Anyway, design is quite nice too. Ovens: This is the most solid part which I need to share. He highlights a few points which I never hear from other salesman while I’m doing comparison. • Activemail: All Brandt ovens cavities are made with Activemail which is hardy, stain resistance and more temperature resistance as compared to enamel. It comes with grey with white flecks which allows easy view and location of dirt on the both side of the oven. • Tray: They optimised design for both side of the tray which had a bigger area for use. • Ventilation output: He highlighted the catalytic oven and pyro oven’s external air outlet is located behind the door handle and is blown in a downwards direction which is a plus point to consumer. I believed he was trying to hint me most of the ovens we saw in the market are blowing at a straight direction, as this will create an issue to the user when he/she bend down to view the item while he/she is baking or roasting and the hot air might accidentally blowing at your face. He didn’t mentioned the basic Brandt comes with this feature, so I assume maybe the basic oven is blowing straight direction. • Screws: Brandt has only one screw at the back of the cavity. Rust can be formed on the screw after certain period of time which means if you more screws on the oven, u will see more rust on the screws. I had chosen pryo oven because of the autocook function but the older version as it’s much cheaper. This oven itself had a multifunction-plus which have circular heating element around the fan, which sucks in the air, heat it up and redistribute it back evenly into the cavity. As mentioned by the sale person, Combined with the heat generated by the top and bottom element, cooking time is at least 25% faster than multifunction that is already 25% faster than normal convection oven. In short, it is 25% + 25% faster which will get very even cooking results, even without a turnspit. I was advise to engaged a electrician to rewiring my cable for the pryo oven. I also questioned him why their catalogue says oven using 16amp, he explained they had to follow their HQ guideline, every oven using 15amp in Singapore, no problem. Happy Buying!!!
