  5. Your 4A looks huge and it comes with balcony. I admire your courage in re-vamping your existing house, it's quite disruptive right. Especially the packing and alt accomodation. Hi JS, yup it looks huge becos of the balcony. And becos of that, all my existing stuffs are packed there for the renovation hehe. U are right...accomodation and packing is the tough part but have to update my partially done reno 6 yrs back. Nonetheless, I love ur huge master bathroom! What's ur plan for that?

  11. Haha thanks but maybe only the MBR have that feeling.
  12. Time for some updates on the reno. I was amazed by the speed of hacking and clearing of debris which was completed within the first day of work It was followed by tiling for whole hse(except MBR) and cement screed of kitchen walls. We saved on hacking of kitchen wall tiles and opt for cement screed instead. Frankly speaking we were quite satsified with this since we are not heavy cookers or have habit for deep frying. For the back splash, we chosed black ceramic tiles for easy maintainence. For common toilet, we stick to the same hue of color for the tiles and decided on a grey/stone simple combination. As the size of the toilet is miserably small, we shifted the vanity outside the toilet instead. Color combination of common toilet Our ID instructed the tilers to have the edges grinded to 45 degrees for adjoining corners instead of overlapping.
  13. We did not have any particular theme for our home during first reno but our main motive was to make our MBR cosy and warm. Below are some things we did to achieve that feel we wanted. View from MBR door Vanity MBR Toilet Peek of the Balcony
  14. Hahah i also bought the replica lamp (tubular type) 6 yrs back in China. Well for the price I am paying (only $90), imagine I have to hand carry back the whole assembly and the marble base weighs in at ard 20kg phew.... But of cos the metal parts have started to rust and I shall be sending it to workshop for respray to another vibrant color. Now willing to part with it as i love the flexibility to swing the lights position (esp when playing mahjong ) Good choice of laminates which suits your theme!
  15. Congrats! So assume you just got that unit? I believe the lift upgrading has already been completed right? Mine is at Tamp.
  16. Sharing this website as it has loads of ideas for kitchen designs. Apart from that, they also have great ideas for living, bathrooms etc.... http://www.home-designing.com/category/kitchen-designs
  17. Halo, I like the concepts you posted it is also something i look forward to but my layout does not allow so. So you bought the Arco lamp from the online grp buy? Btw, what floor tiles you chosen?
  18. Hi Aya, agree with you actually the color wall is using mosaic but the color rendition from the 3D drawing did not show much of an effect. Anyway, we will be using some brighter colors instead. As for the dining table, it shall be changed to a full quartz surface adjoining the island.
  19. Hi Aki & Aya Thanks for dropping by my blog too.. Seems like your carpenter is not that "flexible" haha cost normally will charge by per foot run. Mine was ok with any combinations but of cos not to the extend of Blum hinges or those extra pullout systems. Anyway they offered me "China Blum" Anyway, I think to have those deep drawers should not be too much to ask for. Keep nego..gd luck!
  20. As our main focus was the kitchen, we brainstorm and came out with many ideas...to have L-Shape kitchen or Island. But draining some brain juice and playing around with "Floor Planner", we conclude that island will be the way to go and below is the initial sketch out of our concept. We also reviewed the layout by fellow forummers having same concept and it sure help us to visualize on what we wanted. With that the idea was shared with our ID and the 3D drawing by them as follows:
  21. Yup we had to evacuate the whole house as all the existing tiles are going to be changed. HEctic process but guess have to live with it to have what we wanted in years....
  22. Hi Mihochris, you got the same exact layout?? So have you done your reno, care to share your designs?
