  1. Hi..i think some simple design chair or clear plastic chair will be good to match as it will not block the details of the table legs. It looks good and well designed, guess its not cheap too.
  2. Hi Mangoo, Seriously I am not sure if 200odd is expensive or cheap hahah..maybe the size and speed shall be a considering factor. Sure looking forward to your finished console. Cheers.
  3. Hi Mangoo, Luv ur idea of cement TV console, any drawings to show the setup? Btw, how much is the fan and where to purchase?
  4. Hi, I stored the furnitures in my balcony during the renovation. But of course, i have the help of my neighbour to store some smaller items in their spare room.
  5. Hi Spiffysue, Good progress to your reno..the kitchen sure looks complete with the island. So I believe you purposely run the water pipe overhanging the sink instead of under the tiles? Good Idea.
  6. Halo! How's the progress of your kitchen island Your squarish kitchen sure looks big. I am staying around that area too as I recognise the blocks of flats taken from your unit
  7. We have completed our design for our tv feature after scouting for ideas over a couple of mths..below is the end result. Guess the tough part is on integrating the feature onto a protruding structural beam.
  8. I am also having the same floor tiles(60 x 60) for the whole unit. Illusion wise it does makes ur house looks bigger (when ur unit is empty without furnitures or carpentry hahaha). As everyone mentioned, it really depends on individual preference.I do not see the need to "tell" myself that i am entering the kitchen or bedrooms etc. Anyway, i have an open concept kitchen. Last but not least, the tiles chosen must be suitable for all areas of cos and I believe your tiler will have a better planning and layout using same tiles. Cheers!
  9. Hi MsChoco, mine was fine as it was second time renovating the same unit. So experiences does count hahaha...But anyway, i always enjoyed the process. You may want to view it at the link below: http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=48246 Cheers!
  10. I agree nonetheless regarding your points on renovation. Instead of comparing tons of quotations, try to look for someone who has creditable records and provides good after-sales service in terms on rectification. Renovation is an enjoyable process for me too and i sure looking forward to your completed makeover of your flat! Cheers !
  11. Halo Ms ChocoBanana, the brick wall and tv feature cabinets really lengthens your already "longish" living room. Well designed and it must have cost a bomb for the extensive carpentry in the living and kitchen. At first i thought the TV storage wall is open concept shelvings which look great too. Now I can piece out your hubby's concept into reality. Keep it up

  16. Hi Paloma, great layout and design..feels warm cosy. Congrats on ur completion You are correct on the lighting aspects, it will look and feel totally different if white lights are used. It will make you feel like going home to another "office" haha
  17. Hi Kim, love your kitchen styling and I can see from "far" that the workmanship is good. Wat kind of solid top you using?
  18. Hi Casa, thanks for your comments. I see that your birdnest is slowly taking shape too and like the way your cove lighting is done for your living/foyer.
  19. Have been quite sometime since i updated this blog. We have been looking around for some stuffs to perk up our plain kitchen walls since then.. Came across a oil painted TinTin canvas poster...very attracting but did not purchase in the end. In the end, i saw this wall decal which could bring the "outdoor" effect into the plain kitchen. Good thing is it can be easily removed when I got tired of it
  20. Thumbs up starting from their great service to build quality! Expecting my 2nd purchase delivery next week.
