huh? u confusing me leh... what do u mean by "or just stand with the letter N in front of me iregardless of whether the needle is on N? how many sets of N,S,E,W your compass have? only 1 right? so if needle points to N, then that is N lor... u better never get lost in a jungle, if not jia lat! keke.. ok.. last try!! u still can't understand i give up liao. u follow exactly what i write ok... eg. take direction for main door facing step 1: stand abt 3 step backwards fr main door, u r standing INSIDE the house and facing the main door, u are looking OUTSIDE (assuming your door is open). step 2: hold you compass on your left palm. now using your right hand, you rotate your compass until red needle points to N. u are still standing in SAME position facing the door. step 3: now u look down at your compass, what do u see? with needle points to N, which direction are u facing? that is the direction reading u want.

Aiyo... i want to faint liao. lol! North is North and South is South anywhere in your house this shd not change. if not tomorrow the sun is not gonna rise fr east liao So as long as your compass (red needle) points ALWAYS to N then correct liao. But if u want bery precise reading of directions, you better engage a pro to do an audit for you. I am guessing that the reason for taking several directions like near window, center of hse and at main door, is to ensure that the directions are more or less correct. This is because sometimes, when you stand near the door, your gate made of metal may affect the reading.

whichever way u're facing... lets say u face the main door to take facing direction...your compass must always point to the N. then u look at the compass, the main door will be whatever the direction it is on the compass.. so while the needle points to N (eg. if N is on the left, then 90 degrees is E, opposite 180 degrees is S etc.). hope this helps

hi all, sorry mia awhile..been a bit busy. hehe... hmm... yeah, i will ask fs master to come see before starting my reno, so see if the cabinets can 'preserve' or not. if not will hack away and do according to his recommendations. i'm not so sure which direction is my 'xiong" direction, but i do know (ermm.. if i read correctly using my personal kua and house kua number), that my kitchen is located in 1 of the 'bad sectors'. i think this is suppose to be good? hi dstme, thanks for your suggestions. hmm... i did thought abt mirror backings before. but not so much on fengshui, but juz thought looks very nice. hehe.. but i also know that mirrors especially big big ones cannot anyhow put. yikes!! i wouldn't want that! lol! hi raincole, i did thought abt putting the fridge there before too. but i measured its too small, as the indent at the wall is not deep enuff to conceal the fridge. so it kinda juts out by half, so from the doorway, u see half a fridge jutting out, it looks rather wierd.

but face toilet wall also no good is it? hmm.. fridge shift to the end of the wall? which wall? left side? if left side then the kitchen cabinets like got no 'continuation' leh... quite wierd leh like that. also its not possible to shift to the right side of the wall, coz actually there is barely any wall there..as u can see fr the drawing there got an indent (outside are the meters i think), so barely any wall there, if i place fridge there hor...it will jut out and can see fr the doorway..quite ugly this way.

hi chrispy, me at woodlands not at tpy is yours a new flat? from the floorplan, it looks like your access balcony is directly facing the windows leh. you can place your stove more on the right hand side, then this way it won't directly face windows already.
