yep...i think the expo may be a good place to start, as quite a number of IDs there for u to talk to on the same day, saves u time running around for a start. but like what another forummer has pointed out, juz dun get suckered into signing any confirmation on the spot (u may like to read some of the unpleasant cases where people signed up during such road shows). its hard to say if your 40K will get u what u want, but like i said, its decent enuff! should be able to do up really nice liao unless the ID u engaged really "cannot make it" kekeke. surf and read other people blog may get u a rough idea too. oh.. also, u'd probably have to wait more then 2 wks to get your quotations as now is peak period.

yes!! once u got your floorplan, u should start doing some sourcing and homework. draw up your requirements of 'to-do' lists then start visiting IDs. expo always got a lot of IDs show-casing there, so u might wanna go there look-see for a start. get a feel first. sourcing part can be quite tedious... each time u talk to a new ID, u gotta repeat all over again. 40K is quite decent. shd be able to do nice nice liao... unless really need a major major overhaul. how old is your flat by the way?

is bazi considered a part of fengshui? if yes, then my personal encounter with FS is before i married my hb. the master said i'm good for my hb. and some of the things she mentioned were pretty accurate. when i was younger, my mum also consulted one.. also very accurate. but i'm not sure which master she saw. i'm quite fasinated by bazi n fengshui stuff.. like to read abt them. i think there are some truths in it. but like always.. fasinated ok but not obsessed

yes, u shd remove that, if not later when u do reno u get some 'visitors' haha. juz go imageshack and delete from there. u dun need moderator to do for u. then juz upload again, this time w/o the addy. and... nice unblocked view u got there! hopefully it always stays unblock.

hi tristesse, u mentioned space constraints, the size is smaller then the usual built in ones? looks pretty big fr the pic, and looks deeper too. i like this type better too, but i'm just concerned abt the cleaning of the bottom part of the tub. i wouldn't wanna always have to flush the area with lots of water to wash away dust or hair, coz it might damage the cabinets at the vanity side. can share your contractors contact info with me? i'm in the midst of trying to gather quotation for my new hse reno. thanks ya!

hi all, thanks for the replies. learn something new today. any idea roughly how much i shd be paying for corian top by per ft run? how can i be sure that the contractor gives me corian and not cresto, they look pretty similar to me.

does anyone know what is ARCYLIC solid top? in 1 of my quotations, this is stated as the kitchen's solid top. i asked the contractor if this is the Corian top, he said no. so is arcylic top some cheapo top??
