Do not buy from YH Furnitures (aka Yang Hua or FCC or Furniture Collection Centre), located at 74 Sungei Kadut. I got cheated. They still owe my 2 dining chairs. There were still faulty after a resend. Terrible. After sales is horrible as well, we literally felt bullied by their attitude. Anybody knows about types of gate handle? My door is up, but I was told by my contractor that the gate might have to open from left to right instead of right to left from outside the hse. This is because of the clashing of handles of both the main door and main gate. they need to be at opp sides. I have attached my main door photos. Is there a way i can maintain opening from right to left? so that i will not block the stairway. its a fire hazard.

My doors and solid surface worktop are finally up. But to my surprise, when i went to my hse today, there is not workers but my door is wide open. Only my gate is pad locked.. wow... dunno it was open for how long... so scary... After all the trouble, we finally managed to get the exact doors that we wanted.. hahaha... lucky.. at least effort not wasted.. Though the hse is not cleaned yet, I already cant wait to move it... Tomorrow is another hectic day for me... Ikea will be coming to fix the 3m cabinet in study room and the 2 wardrobes in study and children room.... wonder how long they will take....

Storeroom Feature Wall Common Toilet Door Master Toilet Glass Panel Again, my contractor makes mistake again... He installed a PVC toilet door at my master toilet as well, instead of just my common toilet. My Master Toilet is supposed to be with Frosted Glass Door. but just as he always says he 知错能改... he will always do rework without complains when it is his fault... Potatoes, The only lucky thing is I paid only 800 for deposit. So I think if it doesn't work out, I will pay another 199 jus for the dining set. I urgently needs the tv console ask there will be a customize feature panel at the wall jus above the console. Now tat have to on hold since my tv console is not cfm. But I hav a feeling they going to con me into another item. Very sickening. They say will get their supervisor to call me back but as usual, they never call back.

To all furniture buyers out there, Dun buy from Yang Hua (aka FCC or Furniture Collection Club or Centre) I chanced upon them at home n decor fair at Singapore expo. Their service was so good and sales were so helpful and friendly. We were coaxed into getting a dining set at 999 and they offer us a tv console and carpet at 700. We went to their showroom at sungei kadut loop the very next day to check on their stuff. Most of the tv console there they say cannot be at that price tat they offer earlier. Eventually, we settled with one that we like and have to top up to 800 for a package price with carpet. We left happily but when I was reading through renotalk forum at home, I read abt a thread on not to buy from FCC. We started to keep our fingers cross and hope for the best. We need the stuff to come in as planned, which is this sat 8 oct. We called them a few times to confirm but they keep pushing us aside and say will call back. Finally yesterday we got a confirmation fr them tat this sat will deliver but time can only confirm the day before. We thought fine, at least it's coming. I jus received a call from them. They say my tv console is out of stock and the only one in store is not in good condition. This is ridiculous. I ordered way ahead. They say waiting for stock to come in. They even give all sorts of promises abt buffering the mirror sides of the tv console so that it will not cut my children. Now they want me to go their showroom to choose again. So does it mean I hav to be at their mercy and choose only what's available?? Their prices are not genuine. They can always con me into getting something much much cheaper. I m so mad. This company is so dishonest. I want to warn all buyers out there to stay far far away from this company. They claimed to be doing fair everytime. I think they are only in for 1 time business.

Finally my laminate floor is done... Now just waiting for my carpentry work to start tmr or thurs. My dining set and TV console will be delivered this saturday. my contractor say we kiasu, so gan cheong to bring in our stuff. hahaha....

I am interested in having a wall or two with wallpaper. But the cost is very high and I do not know how durable is it. Can anyone advise me? I may have a source of getting wallpaper at a reduced price, but may have to DIY since the installation is very costly too. Saw some videos on youtube teaching how to do it. Seems not too tough, but dunno in reality is it true. :unsure:

Hi all, I am always very into buying from overseas. Bot a few small items before. E.g paid US$10 for a clutch bag and paid US$17 for the international delivery fee. Hahaha.. sounds quite ridiculous. But I still cant get the item at the total price in SG. Recently I realised I can get items from China, much cheaper than the same items in SG. I managed to get many many items for my new house through this lady (think like freelance) who helped me get from China and delivered right to my door step. I tried going taobao like mentioned by others, but the chinese words are really hard to manage and the transactions too... Through her, i bot things like toilet fittings, crystal lighting, carpet, bedside table, etc.... I wanted to get some more items. But she is still waiting for her next shipment to be consolidated. Then the shipping cost will be shared among all the items. It will be cheaper. Hope more pple are interested, then I can purchase my items faster.. hahaha... pls pm me if anyone is interested... :-)

I got the 60cm x 22cm one. I think there r other sizes as well. but I dunno the dimensions. But wat I like is the choice of changing between led light n energy saving bulb. It's a pity the switch is not up. Can't see the effect. I m actually very eager. :-)

I jus went best industrial to choose door... wasted so much time with a sales lady who does not know much... after my hb got impatient.. another lady came forward and in less than a minute, showed us exactly what we wanted... so crappy... jus wasted so much time... all we wanted was a bedroom door that looks plain and simple, no pattern. with medium brown colour.. like those in condo.. but wat they have are mainly with designs... she keep saying wat we wanted is too basic, they dun put on display... crap.. the other lady jus take 1 min to show us.... lucky, at least we got wat we wanted... :-)

Oh no.. Potatoes, there was a miscom between contractor and me.. he painted by whole hse using a wrong colour. but it was partly by fault and partly his.. so he only going to repaint by ceilings in the living room, dining and kitchen.. its a rework... :-(

Hi Serangoon4room, My contractor promised to repaint only my ceiling for my living, dining and kitchen, not the walls and not the room ceiling. If I wan the rest as well, I hav to pay more. So sad. I m not willing to pay more. Already paid so much. My earliest budget for reno is 20k, now already became 35k. Cannot expand anymore. :-( The pipes was my contractor's suggestion. He say nice if choose black tiles n paint black pipes. Quite happy with it too. :-)

I need advice. Can anyone help? I am doing up my hse to my best effort. But what about the outside of my hse?? Mine is a door-door unit. Lift level. The lift lobby serves my neighbour and my family only. The wall colour is blue, which i dun like but cant change. The wall is very uneven. To make it worse, My neighbours have potted planted, some dried and dead, place along both side of the lift lobby.. as if he own the whole place.. i dun like the sight of all these. wat shld i do or can i do to improve all these??? Anyone has similar encounter???? any advice???

Hi swiper, I got the lights from a person (wendy) who does groupbuy. I saw a similar one at lightings.com.sg at ard $1000. Lucky wendy managed to get this for me at only $350. :yeah: I quite like the lights at lightings.com.sg too. Price quite reasonable... but my hb like this more... after seeing it being fixed, i totally agree... if u are interested, u can contact her at wendychia70@yahoo.com.... hope u can get something u like too...
