  1. Contractor is chasing me to get ready my ceiling fan and dining light. Still in 2 minds deciding on the Haiku fan after price increased. Dining light can settle next month when we are in Bangkok. Left with shower screen for both toilets and kitchen backsplash. ID wanted to shift the shower kerb to make the shower area slightly bigger but contractor said that ID never tell her about this amendment. Luckily, we are not in a hurry to move in. GSS... Already bought sofa, coffee table, dining table and chairs.... Super leong!!!
  2. I do agree with ayazumi that this will look great for a big wall space. Unless there is a smaller version for our small HDB 3 or 4 room and hopefully, it will not cost a bomb. Those with loft flat should be able to execute the intended look.
  3. This is one of my consideration to fix this light at service yard
  4. Brickwall... What colour will you be using? Lot of walls are being hacked away and it looks pretty spacious and bright. Will you be doing another featured wall opposite your Brickwall?
  5. Discussed with ID to install a glass door for the wardrobe after wifey raised the issue of clothes being dusty. The initial plan was for an open concept WIW (including open concept wardrobe) ID suggested a clear glass so as to display the copper pipes. Wondering if to change the wooden drawer to another position to maximize space utilisation? Any suggestion if there is a need to get the carpenter to compartmentalize the drawer for belts, watches, earrings, accessories...etc Saw a few T-blog with glass display for their accessories...
  6. A yellow sofa will definitely be eye-catching

    Another Punggol T-blogger, welcome onboard
  8. Yup, it is solid plywood in laminate c/w ABS trimming (following the contract wording) for all the inner cabinets for my kitchen. Contractor is using the term "colour polygon". She has explained to me before but I had forgotten about it. A couple of more pictures Full height cabinet with pull out drawers. I foresee plenty of snacks in place next time More storage drawers... Very Kaisu Maybe should show the shoes cabinet. In my earlier post, wifey concerns are (1) Shoes Cabinet & (2) Wardrobe. The rest of the renovation, she will leave in my hand. Bluff one , she still got interfere abit but still let me go ahead with the industrial theme as long as she can feel the cosy-ness of a house.
  9. Nothing much was done except the fixing of the solid kitchen top and stainless steel under-mount sink White Solid Top + Induction Hod Closer inspection for the interior for kitchen cabinet. Looks nice, imo This will show how BIG is the kitchen area for the new flat. Unlike my parents' generation, the kitchen is almost 2-3 times bigger. Open drawers inspection, fitted with Blum mechanism
  10. The handles are included in the quotation. Just that I can choose the design or rather he can let me choose the design after shortlisting them
  11. Thanks, ffdog and theitsybits for liking the white kitchen. Wifey is against the all white kitchen because she is worried about them turning yellowish 1-2 years later. My ID promised that it wont turn yellowish, so I trusted his word. Perhaps, white will make my small kitchen looks BIGGER(???) My all white kitchen and top is ready except for a cabinet hinge that was not screwed properly. Oh, the kitchen handles have not been fixed up yet. Initially, the idea was to have a copper type of handle but IKEA already stopped bringing those in. ID suggested another type of IKEA handles and bought them. Only left with backsplash, handles and hood to be fixed up. Not forgetting the sink tap too
  12. Then don't clean the windows since you are changing in 2-3 years time... Lol
  13. Really a headache to clean the window grills after years of neglect Can roughly understand the "laki" term used.
  14. Clear mirror will enhance in making the room bigger and brighter vs a black mirror. That is my humble opinion
  15. Congrats... Your renovation officially started and to update mpre frequently. More and more people are using K after pinkwhale & paloma's renovation are completed.
  16. The Haiku fan is getting popular with many of the T-bloggers
  17. I am lusting over this floor lamp
  18. So nice of you to lend your house for filming. Will they be giving you an red packet for lending your precious home?
  19. I was not around when the workers were working on my lightings for my living room and corridor as well as WIW handles. ID whatapps me some of the pictures and gave me the sign! So I guess it should be according to plan. Electrician came and set up the cove lights too. Guess I need to get my living room fan as well as my dining light soon. Hopefully I can get the dining lights in Bangkok next month. WIW "industrial" hangers WIW basic drawer. Most likely will get a full length stand alone mirror on the left for wifey Kitchen Light is up as well The featured wall which was supposed to be a brick wall but ID changed to this after telling me that he is tired of doing brick wall. Wanted to screed cement but FSM advised us that "grey" is out for us. Lights is from T5
  20. I believed it should be smoked oak if I remembered correctly
  21. ID suggested a totally different type of wardrobe for WIW. I was open to his idea and what the heck, let's go for it. Although there was some grumbling from wifey but she allowed us to proceed after ID re-assured her that it will not be too industrial and will look into her "coziness" theme. Poor ID, has to balance both of our interest The main "ingredient" Installation of copper pipes
  22. At least there is a sense of satisfaction Pm sent
  23. That is a nice retro payphone. The black colour is a good contrast to the white semi brick wall. Wonder where did you get your inspiration from? The payphone looks very familiar and realized that another renotalk T-blogger, Defelio had this too.
