  1. very nice before and after makeover~ I bet everyone got to go through all the hassle and Q&A towards ID for inquiries ~ End Result......SUI ARR & Happy Chinese New Yr!
  2. Hi MingzhuAng, Thanks for your lovely feedback Now i have a rough figure if my contractor charge me higher than the market price
  3. Wow that was a good news The tap is so unique let us know the smoothes while using the tap hehe Your contractor seems pretty good, your lighting point can be added without paying hehe or the price is already factor in your quote? Looking forward on your Reno progress
  4. Went for checkup...got to know that they needed 4 lorries to throw away the cabinets and debris on tearing down the house Permit approved Hacking will be starting on Tuesday~ 10/1/12~ Anyway some pictures for you guys to enjoy~
  5. ohh not to use LED downlights? hmm.... okie advise noted // I was thinking how bright is LED too...since the price is exp compare to conventional downligths~~
  6. Hello~ Now im thinking do i need a 1x single socket to connect to the power supply 12V 6A? or i can bypass using 1x Single socket and loop the power supply with downlights? (so that i can save 1x single socket) But seriously, i have no idea which colours of LED strip i should get...RGB? or the single colour? 1) False Ceiling (Cove) - RGB 2) Shoe Cabinet -? Warm white/ White/ RGB? 3) Kitchen Cabinet- Warm white/ White/ RGB? 4) Living hall feature wall- Warm white/ White/ RGB? 5) Both toilet - Warm White I see most of you guys have white for kitchen (looks nice ) some warm white (not too bad) Im in dilemma now~
  7. nicely reno! From the above pictures~ i notice that we have the same ugly toilet piping...3 portion piping just like yours. can u pm me how much it cost to box up the whole piping for your MBR? Thanks~ ohh yeah, regarding the glossy laminate for the kitchen that worries me is the scratches in the future lo but it do look nice hehe I think thinking should i go for glossy or matt
  8. wowo great progress~ Can i know what is the reno schedule like? 1) Demolishing 2) Hacking 3) Piping 4) Wiring..
  9. Now im in the midst of getting electrician quote before im too late. Start designing false celing, wall plug placement, light purchases and LED strips~ ohh dear my 1 hour brain storming design~ I wonder is it sufficient brightness at the living hall (2x downlights only) but will be using cove to reflect the light towards the wall~ I was quoted 1 unit LED Panel Light (Square) @ 0.3W and panel lamp is 12W?? for S$55 per unit. Is it cheap?? haha another messy electrical sketch... Guess the electrician will be headache after thinking what is this
  10. uhh love the panasonic fan~ But i was told that my ceiling height is low...by placing ceiling fan will be dangerous with the wings~
  11. Hi All, Any review on Focal Dome 5.1? was looking into it now. Yet to test the SQ for this baby~ worth of investing? @avant, $1k can get a decent ones too...i bump into Harvy and BEST saw their Samsung HTS or Sony seems pretty good the sounds are ok with nice tall satellites~
  12. Hi piknik, Yeah, that is a top load washer. It seems the technology more advance that LG, Samsung or Panasonic (Claimed by the Salesperson) Long story for getting this brand (As i did not use Hitachi for my whole life) Initially, Im a Panasonic supporter and brought up by National -> Panasonic household appliances.. Well i was looking for Panasonic 9kg washing machine but i went many shops in Singapore and Malaysia to check on the price, a few salesperson kept on emphasizing on getting Hitachi instead of Panasonic... Well in the end, looking at the catalog it seems Hitachi have this multiple RPM speed to adjust the spinning process without tangle free clothing. Let see how it goes~
  13. @ avant, Budget? Guess if you have an budget in mind, is easier for audiophile to give you their pro feedback. IMO, soundbar for minimalist i would place in the MBR or any common room if i wish to enjoy the virtual surround sound. For 5.1 you are looking at HTS or customize hi-fi which consist of Amp, satellite, woofer, cables...this need to set you back at least S$3k~
  14. hehe more will be coming ~ now just tearing down all the fixtures Hacking will be the massive thing hehe bet everyone love to see the demolishing of the house yeah~ Huat arr!
  15. Hood, hob, build in oven, oven, washing machine here as well~ Will check on sat for the progress again
  16. Things that I bought are here great to see the items stacking up at the corner while the workers busying smacking and tearing down the items~ Kitchen and Sanitary Kitchen and Toilet faucet Checking on the WC
  17. Huat arr, First day reno happy~ Demolishing the house now..cabinets, wardrobe, bed-frame feature wall all got to go~
  18. any possibility if multifunction of the alarm triggered when you are traveling? When no one at home and so sudden the alarm went off... Secondly i was thinking possible to remove the grill (HDB)? do we need to apply permit as it seems to void the aesthetic of the whole floor which comes with grill... Can post the pic of your alarm? was thinking: Digital lock + Digital grill + CCTV in the house
  19. Awesome. Let me check on the masterlock. Will be contacting you soon~
  20. I have some questions.... Intention of having digital locks is to minimize the problem of carrying bunch of keys around in the pocket. But i just realize I still need to carry the key for metal grill~ I bet you guys and gals have this dellima too~ How you all solve this problem? having a combination pad lock? easy to let ppl crack the numbers? TIA!
  21. Finally, tomorrow is the day! yes Reno starting tomorrow for a long months waiting~ Hacking, tiling and piping will be completed within this month as CNY there will not be any reno going~ hmm But anyway I was told that electrician may need to do some wiring ...but i have yet to assign one ... Any good lobang guys and gals? 3 problems pending now: i)Electrician Quotation: ii) Aircon will be placing behind MBR window and they might need to drill a small hole from the small cabinet. What can i do for this portion? iii) Notice that common toilet shower area is too small. If place a glass shower screen with swing door i dont think there's a place for the door to swing. If only glass fixed panel the water might splash out to the WC area. Slide able glass shower screen seems pretty expensive by my contractor... whereas using acrylic shower screen maybe too dirty for the mold portion?
  22. hihi pinkwhale Glad to see your reno is moving fast hehe~ Electrician come in so fast? Can share your electrician quote? Im hunting one quite urgently~ as my reno start tomorrow ~ hehe~ Thanks
  23. Yishun was one of my initial option to get but it seems all Yishun estate are undergoing lift upgrading and the ones completed are asking sky high price tag ($60k COV form simple reno) or the condition is either simple (no reno at all $40k) or ah long house~ (creepy) Most of my colleague stayed at Yishun i love the place~ Any floor plan to see
