  1. Yes. Pls don't start renovation before 2nd appointment bcos by doing that you are renovating other ppl's unit.
  2. (1) Yongfang OR (2)Yontat You may visit their website first and then contact them.
  3. Not sure how big is your cabinet. Dismantle cost about $250~$400. Depends on your negotiation power or individual contractor, the price may include the removal of debris from site. TV feature wall plus simple console is about $220~250 pfr.
  4. Hi incubator, we were also hunting for resale EM/EA/5RM since Feb until we got one in May. This is my 2nd time buying resale hdb & the current purchase experience is so much different with our first time when there was no COV exist. It is true that nowadays resale flat sold on the same day of the open house except those at low floor. You just can't have enough time to go home to think whether you shld or not to buy it. It is so much like an auction to me. What made us really frustrated was the unrealistic COV. The figure (average $20k/25k) published officially on web and newspaper is never reflecting the true appetite of sellers. EM/EA that we viewed for the past few months requested COV of $50k/60k or even $80k!! I feel myself like a carrot with thin pocket. We ever stop viewing for more than one mth bcos we felt really disappointed by the market fever. We then decided to stick on buying 5RM only. Save our $$ for future, either for kids or second property. But we still fail to find one so we thought something must be wrong with our strategy. We then decided to try our luck at other areas. I understand the reason why you want to stick to that particular area. We had strong reason to choose our preference too. But the resale market may not cater the right place just to our desire. Perhaps you want to try make a change. Maybe you will find something different. Good luck!
  5. I agree with watchthewaves, you need to think about the pot/pan that you will be using. Also how big portion of food to be prepared. To prepare a proper meal usually we need to use different size or type of pot/pan. For example like frying two eggs for breakfast, one big pot of curry for gathering/party. Using induction hob really limits your choice of cookware which are largely available in the market.
  6. Just use 'Softlan' will do. Cheap and good. Make your clothes smell good and softer. You can get it from any supermarkets. Add it before the laundry just like adding the detergent.
  7. Hi user123, you may want to refer to this thread: Materials That U Regret Using/ Installing materials u regret using in ur renovation. At page 5, reply #163 "If you get a big wall mirror for the bathroom, try and make sure it is hung with brackets rather than just being stuck to the wall. We had one that started to develop 'patches' 6 months after installation. We removed it and bought a mirror with brackets which has had no issues at all." quoted by RimBlock. I copied & saved this info bcos one of my toilet mirror at my current home has this problem. Black patches visible at the mirror which is very ugly. I intend to put a big mirror in my MBR toilet for my new home so I keep this valuable info to remind myself to avoid such mistake.
  8. i bought a resale flat with my bro 7yrs bk with move in condition except the white flooring of both toilets are seriously scratched & stained. We had not much savings that time so can't afford to change the tiles. We were happy to find the coating solution which cost us less than $500 for both toilets at that time. I am not sure whether the job was done by FC bcos I wasn't bother to remember the name that time. But FC's show unit at expo that I visited 2 mths ago was almost same like the display of the contractor we visited at expo 7yrs ago! Even the type of coat we chose were still on display. Ha...so I believe they are the same person. Been using it for 7 yrs now. The outlet piping of my washing machine join to my common toilet.Dirty water run over the flooring everytime when we wash clothes so the floor gets dirty easily. I have to scrub it about 2~4 times per mth. It is almost in the same condition for over the 7yrs. We r really happy with this product bcos it is cheap & gd. I am consider doing it for my new house later if needed.
