  6. I am the seller, and I had faced the same issue as you few month back. And my property got lodged by a caveat due to buyer's loan. It's a fault HDB's system, but they will never admit. Sad to say, the buyer will also loss much more. Tried get prove from HDB that the month you signed otp is stil all ethnic eligibility, and make an appeal. Fyi, our appeal unsuccessful that time, and I returned all 5k otp to the buyer. Since you already get a bank loan, a void penalty charge will definitely apply, and further more you got to remove the caveat which lodged on the seller's property (cost few hundreds) if not the seller would able to sell his house. Hope your appeal will success and do it fast. Worst case, just move on and look for another suitable flat and transferred the loan to that, can it be done? Good luck.

Emailed it to slightly higher rank (maybe you can get angelbutterfly help) relevant personal for advise. I wondered why you can't complain to the contractor's boss/coy? Worst case, call up Chinese newspaper's hotline open up your issues to nation....zzz

  9. I seek Lawrence Quahe & Woo LLC law firm for my legal advice. But, for your case you should let the HDB involved since yours already completed 1st appointment. Legal action should always come last. Good luck.
  10. It's not your problem. Let the seller settled the unapproved modification work himself, and no need get involved. Any default of sale due to this will be seller fault, and he will need to compensate whatever damage incurred on you. Worst case, find a lawyer and issue a warning letter (cost approx. $250) to the seller, I don't he is so stupid to ignore it.
  11. haha, me too. Got rejected during submission to HDB due to the stupid Ethnic eligibility. And now, my property being caveat lodged due to Buyer's bank loan approved by bank. I also eager to know the outcome, can share? In fact I need advise to get my caveat remove, since my buyer is furious and not doing anything on it.

My buyer got very angry on his buyer's agent and asking for compensation. Before this, he had applied the bank loan, and a caveat had been lodged to my property. Since our deal is void, I refund the OTP,exercise Fee to the Buyer, but got rejected by him too. Need someone advises on the below doubts, 1)how to release the unreasonable caveat lodged on my unit since my buyer is not going to do anything? 2)will the caveat issues affect on my selling of flat, if let say my next buyer is getting a HDB loan and not bank loan? really headache on these unexpected issues.

  14. at least a completion is signed and then the unit is belong to you, whereby then you start reno. Unless the seller don't mind hack work going around, but could ended free reno for them if deal got lapse No harm to get as much quote as u want from id/contractor.
