Hey ricepapergirl, how's your kitchen holding up? We're thinking of getting the IKEA metod kitchen too, with the same Bodbyn doors as yours, except in off-white, so would like to know whether they're lasting. Thanks!

I think i saw your carpentry downstairs this morning! All white cabinets right? lol

Where'd you get the first picture from? I took a similar photo albeit from a different angle from Home and Decor or some other ID magazine when I was looking for ideas to do my place up but totally forgot which magazine it came from and couldn't find it again.

Open kitchen? Or no kitchen? The toilet is miniscule I agree. But after a while we get used to it.. ha. Noticed you put a door at the utility too. Did it come with a door originally?

I bought a white one from IKEA, Hemnes series. Available in two sizes, 1m and 1.5m I think. If you like IKEA products that is

I'm happy to report that my friend took off 15cm for me from the base.. i.e. the sleeve cap at the top of the first (straight) section was not touched. Only problem with that was that the wire had to be cut and then reconnected back with a connector + black tape but that wasn't a big deal since the cables leading out from the base to the switch is hidden behind the marble base anyway. Managed to get it to fit my low low ceiling!

Looking good, when did your renovation begin? One thing I notice is that the flat is actually quite bright with the corridor lights coming in thru the windows which, depending on how you look at it, can be both a boon and a curse.. certainly was helpful when I was making trips at night to check on the progress.

None other! Which blk are u? Mine was **... Hope yours goes well!

Hello neighbor My reno in the same estate is just about done and I should be moving in this weekend after some cleaning. Don't tell me it's my flat you saw and the ID firm you chose? Lol I was gonna put up a post after it's complete

Not sure about the grievances you have with that ID but objectively, one man's meat is another's poison. What you don't like and reject could be what someone else is looking for. Caveat emptor applies, like you said willing buyer, happy seller (or vice versa)!

I see these shophouses everyday walking home.. Always wondered how the interiors will look. Now I know how one of them looks!

This might seem a peculiar observation but erm.. I noticed your trash can is what I have in mind to buy . Where did you get it from? Thanks!

I headed down today seems like they don't hold those lights any more. Anyway if it's 400+ each then it makes sense to buy direct from design house Stockholm. Thanks!

I knew I had seen these before in these forums! Just posted a query in the Electricals/ Electronics section before I popped back here to re-read your blog lol. Do you remember how much they are? (I'm just being lazy to head down myself to check the prices heh). Thanks!

Hey guys, I think a number of forumers dig the industrial look so was just wondering if someone could direct me to a place where I can get bulb holders like these: I know White Woods at Park Mall carries the one on the left in white which is great and what I'm looking for but it goes for SGD232 which frankly, for a cage, is way too expensive. The other place I have found is Design House Stockholm (http://usd.shop.designhousestockholm.com/work-lamp-silver) but at USD100 a pop, it's not entirely cheap either (shipping is another USD75 for 3 bulbs). So.. anyone knows where these can be gotten without burning a hole in the pocket? Appreciate it. Thanks!

Just went there this morning the prices were quite good but they only offer 6 month warranty as these are - according to the person who served me - display pieces from showrooms or other projects. Prices: FP867XS1 - retails 1899, their price 1139 FP842 - their price 899. The cheapest I've seen so far for this model was 1,099 during an HV promo. FE811 - their price 610 They got a couple more combi ovens for sale but forgot the price. One of their microwaves was going at 538. Upstairs in their actual showroom they have some discounts too. The AX990 hood's going at 560 after discount.
