Option 2...If u agreed to terminate the contract, he will be laughing w ur previous money in his pocket and nothing done... how can u let him off when he obviously trying to cheat... please skip this option.... Option 3 obviously not cos he is going to cheat more out of u.... So i suggest the only option is option 1... Go small court claim him... u dun need a lawyer... my ex colleague do it b4.... Be firm and go for option 1... i believe if he received the court order, he might start doing something for ur house... trust me... do not scare of him...We can be poor, but doesnt mean they can bully and eat us.... the problem is that if the owner say the contractor name they will blame the owner for sabotage them even thought they are in the wrong , but from the way he behave he is those shameless one so he will blame the owner for causing him no business and so no money to compensate or hire worker so better for the owner problem to be solve and hand over and then give them a BIG advertising He can say the contractor company and name out... So what if he blame the owner... let him blame loh... Anyway u really think he is going to retify his issue... doubt so... We shd prevent another victims... And go to small claim court to claim back ur money.... Dun waste ur time still thinking he will do for u...

There is no way to transport a 10 ft glass using lift... By using stair, most contractor wont do it even the space is enough.... cos they need to calculate the turning radius... not careful it will break...U know the limited space of our stair.... In other word, there is no way to transport a 10ft glass to ur place unless u use a crane...

Agreed the carpentry work is lousy... I just had my cabinet up last friday... And I was very satisfied w the work... Done tv console, feature wall, kitchen cabinet... praying altar... 2 vanity... 1 wardrobe... I only spotted a chip laminate inside my shoe satee door... The rest is near to perfect... no complaint... And out of 5 person who do the carpentry work... 4 singapore and 1 PRC.... I even see uncle use liguid to polish the door before fixing... I guess u choose the wrong carpenter.... I wont accept the work of ur carpenter... We pay so much and expect to see better job...

I dun agreed w tapilia... Delay for work is acceptable like 1 2 weeks... not months... I feel in this case... the gerald person must be a lousy irresponsible ID... my ID did not give me a completion date... but thing were done smoothly.... If the person is not able to complete within the given date, why did he in the first place promise? So what if his subcon delay work... this has nth to do w client... Client only need to liaise w ID company... and ID company must filfill what is on the contract... subcon delay... is not client problem... is the ID problem.. ID job to get them to work...if the ID is not able to... then why is he getting the commission... ... if not what for we engage ID... this gerald is cfm not rushing the subcon to do things for him... lousy ID.... this ID or ID firm cfm cannot make it.... Coachpeo, did he state the date in the contract? I dun think u shd keep waiting for him to complete... Go to small claim court immediately.... I am sure he will get it done up immediately.... I have a frd oso go small claim court... and in the end... the ID company need compensate him 6k for delay for 3 months... We must teach those irresponsible ID a lesson.... Hahaha... I also hacked away my kitchen wall and replaced with 7 ft temper glass... I got 2 kids but they are 1 and 2 yr old... There is always risk of breaking when u have glass... but i think will be nicer cos the wall block the light entering the kitchen... At first i tot to hack half ht... but not that nice.. decide to hack full ht... It look nicer... One thing to note for glass... They need to inplant the glass inside a U channel... Alot ppl just stick the U channel on top of the tile... then input glass in...stick w silicon... like that u will see the U channel...I find that ugly.... I dun wan the U channel to be visible... so i get my tiler to cut the tiler and input my u channel under the tiles... after which glass placed in U channel then glue w silicon... In this way, u wont see the U channel cos input inside... Carpenter shd come in for measurement after celling up... hacking done... no point for them to come now cos the measurement wont be accurate w so many thing not done... Just like my bed room wardrobe... I have a L shape false celling... the end of the L is in the way of the wardrobe... So carpenter need to measure to suit into the L.... Not sure if u understand what i meant... But is better for them to come after celling work is up...

Hi,my house is currently undergo reno and have just completed carpentry work. Maybe i can share the proceed w u. 1) Hacking of wall, tiles, laying... hack WC and basin if u want... can do it later b4 carpentry oso cos your contractor might need water and use toilet. 2) False celling and electrican to discuss celling plan and lighting point...Best to meet them together on site to discuss how wire trunkiing can be minimize by hiding in false celling. Also alot trunking can be hidden in carpentry cabinet. Make u tell ur electrician and they will run loose the wire cable there. Also ask your electrician to create a pipe in false celling hide fibre optic trunking. 3) Get aircon man to run aircon trunking. 4) Painting whole house after false celling and wiring done. 5) After painting install lighting. (1st installation) 6) Window grill measurement plus 6) Discussion w carpenter . Takes about 10 days to fabricate depending on ur carpentry amount. Make sure u tell them where u intend to highlight to them if u have some switch hiding in cabinet or wardrobe. They will need to cater the space and drill the hole for the run loose cable. 7) Install solid top. 8) Electrician call in to install switch that are not done... ( those on carpentry work ) 9) Install aircon unit. 10) Final Touchup... I oso do glass work too... Depending on what u plan to do... But basic steps for mine reno is above... Hope it help u...
