No problems. I just would like to have a disclaimer that I am not flaming the firm. they are still a very experienced and responsible firm in which they are willing to come down anytime to fix the problems. It is just the problems at times that can tire one out. But my colleagues also told me, which I do agree. There is no renovation works that is tireless on both the firm and the home-owners. It is the end results that matter most. And I believe that in the end, despite all the hassle, they can deliver the final results. Think that is important too. And Terrian, really sorry to cause you to be flown kite. My problems resulted in your time being wasted. But with that, it also shows their determination and urgency to solve all problems faced. They are willing to sacrifice getting new business (despite me paying the renovation costs already). As they did mention before, they will do their best to ensure that all goes well for their clients, so when they accept any clients, they become their priorities. So really hope that you will be willing to give them a chance, as well as other forumers. Please read on to understand why I say so. In terms of experience, yeah, she is mainly a contractor that can do everything about renovation. In terms of being an ID, it is just a bonus, cause with the experience she has, she can advice as as ID (without the stupid hidden costs). Do not worry about the prices that you can get from her. Believe it will be one of the cheapest (because there is little commission earned from subcontracctors and getting stuff) and most reasonable, and yet you get quality work (looking at the end products). So Terrian, for the renovation works you require, believe she can do it well. The rewiring is to be done by an experienced electrician, "Ah Liang" who can advise adequately on what is suitable and how best to do it. The only issue, hard to contact him initially. Too much business on his hands. Once u get, its perfect. For tiling, you can't find more experienced tilers. Slow and steady and I mean, very steady. All measurements down to the lines in each tile is layed properly and nicely. First time I see a tiler do things up to such utmost details (designs in tiles lined so properly). For false ceiling, if the boss of the subcontractor turns up himself to ensure all is well, its really good. Initially has problems too but once L*** scolded them and I demanding that they send more experienced workers, the boss came down to do the works himself and it was very properly and quickly done. (Why can't they just do that at first and all will be happy). For plastering (best required if you using cove lighting so that walls look nicer), again if the boss of the subcontractor turns up, its perfect. My initial experience with them was 1 word, "HORRIBLE". But after I made a fuss and L*** scolded them, he immediately apologised and rectified the problems. For the carpentry, the carpenter tends to be "too smart" and measurements will be taken by him by "eyeballing" so at times, his over-confidence will kill him, which is what happened in my case. But through L***, she got them to rectify the problems properly and clearly. Now waiting for the new carpentry works to be completed to comment further. Anyone has any questions, can feel free to email me straight at ranger97s33@yahoo.com. I will gladly take up any questions. I feel bad that an experienced renovation firm might lose business through my comments, but as mentioned, I am just sharing my experience, the good and the bad. So if anyone has any questions, just email me straight. Now I can be a "subcontractor" lol from all my renovation experiences... If anyone wanna know where to get cheap and good LED lights, feel free to contact me too... Got a real cheap source from the least expected shop =)
