Hi, Anyone could share some good CARPENTER (don't think I need a contractor for this one job) to replace my kitchen sink? I've called 1 contractor but the price is rather steep; so I'd like to have another quotation. thanks.

Repair Work On Leaked Pipes In Toilet
poundesville replied to poundesville's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
I'm not exactly following your suggestion, but thanks. Actually there is another alternative. I just realize it after getting feedback here that it's risky to drill at the bottom of the glass panel. The path gets longer and the pipe is exposed more (it's uglier) to the naked eyes. I need some contractor to quote me a reasonable price for this - then I believe he/she could assess it better than my drawing .. -
Repair Work On Leaked Pipes In Toilet
poundesville replied to poundesville's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
One contractor that saw this few years back (when the leak was so small) is the one propose to drill into the based of that glass wall. He believes the issue is on the ceramic that will be cracked and I don't have the original one to replace them. And this is water pipe.. the pipe leads into my water heater and then to shower head. -

Repair Work On Leaked Pipes In Toilet
poundesville replied to poundesville's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
you could be right. but the drawing is not too scale and i don't know how "deep" the glass is inside the base. Moreover the water pipe is pretty small. Nonetheless, if contractor says can't, then i'll go the vertical route. It's not too pretty but it could work. Otherwise, hack the fake wall .... I guess what I need now is some good plumber/contractor to do this. -

any recommendation guys and gals? -
Hi, Need recommendation on good plumber to bypass a leak water pipes. The leak is concealed inside a wall inside my toilet. Instead of hacking the toilet wall, I want to bypass the leaked part and create new route. Also, a small job to install a new water heater in the 2nd toilet. Can anyone recommend a good plumber for this? Click here for screen shot of the job that needs to be done.

Selling it at an attractive price of $880. Everything in box is yours (for example: charger, earpiece). PM me if interested. Edit: Price's revised lower. If want to trade it with camera lenses, i'm interested.. or if you want to trade with your Galaxy S3, can consider (but top up from you require)

If you're renting the whole unit, then you must have the following 1. Living room - at least a sofa. 2. Bedrooms - all with matress and frame and simple wardrobe. If you don't have air-cons, then fans is a must. 3. Toilets - water heater and shower utilities 4. kitchen - cooking stuffs (stove, and places to store your utentils) 5. washing machine 6. all lights must be there also Btw, sorry to burst your bubble. But i do not think you can rent out the whole unit since you just recently purchase it.

The paint is washable and it still has a little bit of odour. It definitely less odour. You can sleep in your room after air it for one day to 2 days. My mother in laws has sensitive nose to this; she normally can't step into a room that's painted for less than 3 weeks. In case of my home, she doesn't know that it's painted all (although actually it just been paitned 1 week back).

There is this shop in IMM that sell windows.. The shop name is something like "..... grille", I'm sorry that I couldn't recall it. However, the seller explained that thicker windows reduce the noise and a good insulation around the edges do the same. His window is not supposed to reduce noise level, it suppose to reduce the heat or the cold from coming into the house. But when he install the windows on Apt next to Expressway, the clients told him that the noise is greatly reduced. The price is rather steep - for a normal window, he probably charge between 300 to 400 (material and installation).

Very Cheap! Anyone Try Buying From Them Before?
poundesville replied to Relacker's topic in Electronics & Electricals
Totally agree to everyone here. It's a scam. Stay away and don't even try to send them emails. They can collect ur email address and then put it in a CD and sell it to people who'd like to spam others... -
applefreak, The nature of what you're doing with mine are different by a lot. So I can't really judge by that. what I'm doing is lot more wood work. 1. Divider for living room 2. shelves in dining room 3. shelves + hanging cabinet + wardrobe in one room 4. raised platform (size of a single bed) + moving of build in wardrobe from one wall to another 5. half platform wall that block toilet from bed 6. 2 wood frames with doors that divided master room and 2nd bedroom. 7. tv shelv in mster room. All these are mostly wood work ..... are you happy with Ho Bee's work?

good point. maybe 2 sets, although i said only the inside one. but that makes sense however, as you can see in the pic, the rest of the furnitures like very very expensive. Or am i just not ready to spend that big amount of money? To reno 3 rooms (no flooring done by the way) + divider + kitchen door and some corner shelf - cost is 13k

toilet bowls $120. Let's assume replace water heater is another $50, then it only comes to a bout 170. changing the tap water shouldn't be too expensive either, as the basin remains. applefreak, are you happy with your contractor, if yes can you pm the contact number? thks

Every parts of it are rather expensive.. If you open my picture, you could see that 2 shelvings cost me $200. The fee to install toilet bowl , heater and tap is near to $450. Even after I supply the toilet bowl and the heater myself.... The rest are rather difficult to draw but I still think they are high too (I believe).

Hello all, I received quotation from one contractor and I highly believe that i'm overcharged. Question here is by how much? How much is a fair rate if you ask your contractor do to the following? 1. install toilet bowl, heater and a tap ? 2. How much is a piece of glass 5mm thick about 1.8m long? The list is long - but I just need to know for sure that the ammount charged here is fair or far out from being fair. For more example with picture, please have a look at Reno Pic. It might take a while to load but just be patience. If you want the words bigger, find the magnifying glass button on the top right corner. Looking forward to your input

For digi-cam, the price is higher in IT show than in Sim Lim. At least for Canon and some Panasonic models

How Much Does It Cost To Have A Water Heater ?
poundesville replied to mydelta's topic in Electronics & Electricals
If you do not want eletrical wiring, then why don't you use gas-powered. Trouble is: you will have to "re-piping" of all the water points in your bathroom. One is for warm/hot water and the other is for cold water. It should cost you more, but it will save you money on the eletrical bill plus one heater is free from CityGas (if the promotion is still there). Another nice thing, you can just set the heater running. It won't uses the gas until you 'command' the hot water ..
