  1. Hmmm.....Cheng73, I tink u shd go for a 3 room instead of a 4rm unless u gt other occupants other than yrself and yr kid. A 4 room in Bukit Batok cost easily above 200k. Unless u r talking abt those v old flats - above 20 years and very low floor and with little reno/no reno... And old flats require quite a bit of reno....from rewiring, plastering, changing of pipes and u may even need to replace the tiles....unless u can accept the condition. Rewiring and plastering is not cheap....and minimum reno is even more expensive. Dun mind me being straight....u shd save up for yr kid's future education and living as u r going to support him alone....it would be betta ig u hv some alimony...bt seems like yr ex-HB is into debts...so dun tink alimony is possible in tis way... U must also consider whether a reno loan will be approved in the later stage... My house is done up by a contractor in Jurong East, if u need the contact, just let me noe...he is a kind person...Tel him yr situation and I am sure he will not take advantage of yr plight.
  2. Ya....I will always buy a nice dinner for him and buy a present which he eyed and wanted sooooooo much.... Of course not too expensive la.. I noe my HB like LV products v much...I bought a LV wallet for him few years bk and a LV name card holder for him last year + a nice dinner..something which he liked to eat and he is soooooooo happi! And till tis day he still keep the wallet and cardholder and it is a console for me cos he is a scatterbrain whom always misplace his things... I tink a nice dinner and a good present is sufficient!
  3. We often does tat too....drive up to KL and Genting and stay there for a few days... Actually short trips can improve relationships. We are planning to go Krabi next mth...hmmm...stlll checking out on the prices....dunno to go free or easy or via tour packages... Bt go Krabi only via TigerAirways leh....nvr tok budget air before...bt heard negative feedbacks....so still undecided! And somemore I dun swim...dunno go there for wat.....hehehehe.... Guys are like tat....they like to delay and delay till the last min then they feel "gan cheong" and left out tis and tat... Girls are more meticulous....so we are doing a betta job! Actually I dun mind packing for my HB, cos whenever we go overseas, he really took very good care of me, and I really enjoyed go travelling with him. Unlike my friend's HB, go overseas also bo chap whether she enjoyed or not or her safety...so irresponsible lor...
  4. Ok...thanks for yr clarification! Oic....I get wat u mean..Thanks..will try out when i am ready....keke...

Dun worry...initially no matter how much u clean also dusty one...so just take yr time, they will be cleaned in a few weeks time. Some contractors/IDs will clean for u...bt also not very clean one....
  6. Ya me 2....I packed all his luggage cos he will sure left out something if he pack! Tats y I always need an additional off day when I am bk to wash all the laundry! Bt wat to do? There is no solution unless he can auto la...

  8. Steamed red Garoupa with light Soya Sauce ( u can use other fishes suitable for steaming as well) Preparation : 10 mins, cook 7 mins, serves 4 pax Ingredients : - 600g whole red garoupa, gutted and gills removed - shredded spring onion and red chilli for garnishing - Ginger Sauce (mix together) - 2 tbsps light soy sauce - 1/2 tbsp fish sauce - 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce - 1/2 tbsp Maggi seasoning - 1/2 tbsp sugar - 6 tbsps water Steps : - Stuff the ginger pcs inside the fish to rid the fishy smell. - Place 2 or 3 chopsticks on a heated proof plate that is large enuff to hold the fish. Place the fish on top of the chopsticks. It should be lying flat on the the chopsticks and suspended from the bottom of the plate. This will ensure that the fish will cook evenly and much faster. - Place the entire fish in s steamer of vigorously boiling water. Steam for 5 to 7 mins. If u r using fresh fishes, 5 mins is sufficient. Chill fishes from the supermarkets may need 2 to 3 mins more. - Once the fish is cooked, pour the sauce over. U can also heat a little oil (abt 2 tsps) till very hot and pur over the fish, for extra fragrance. - Serve garnished with shredded spring onion and red chilli. It tastes just like the steam fishes we eat outside in resturants and zhi char stalls. NICE!
  9. Is the chicken pieces meant for the white chicken or to add flavour to the rice? I am confused! Chicken steam in the rice cooker? Nice? Chicken fats? I hv not tried tat before? Can get from wet markets? Oni fry the chicken fats with the rice? The rice must be cooked or not? So sorri...I am such a bother...hehe...
  10. There is always an issue on husbands helping out their wives on houseworks. My HB is also a mummy's boy. He NEVER lift a finger on any housework, not even wash a spoon or fork. Initially I also hv fights with him when we just married. He dotes on me and helps a little, then sometimes I will catch him sitting down reading newspapers half way thru sweeping the floor....Well, guys get distracted easily esp when doing housework which they tinks that is women's chores. Bt he can hv full attention when he is online gaming... Imagine sometimes he will throw a wet towel on the bed...Arghs! I was so angry cos I am a typical hygenic person and I like my house to be clean clean... Then I was trying all sorta of methods trying to get him help out in the household chores. Last time when we are staying in a 3 room flat, he seldom helps, except washing the toilets every week. I dun mind back then cos the flat was pretty small. Then he initiates to move to a bigger unit. I protest cos I tel him I cannot cope with the housework esp when he is not helping much. Guess wat?? He volunteers to help out. Actually I also take a risk, cos he may go back on his words anytime. Bt now for a few months liao, he really keep his word and I am very glad. Every sat, I will ask dedicate him jobs to do. I will ask him to sweep the floor first, then I will tell him tat I cannot proceed to do wet jobs if he dun get it done. Then aft tat, he wil wash the toilets and I will mop the floors. Then I will ask him to wipe the TV consoles, cabinets and tables for me. Then I will reward him by telling him he is off liao, can go play games liao. Then I will proceed to go do other chores. I usually do my ironing after dinner on wkdays. Actually can slim down too...cos I dun sit down after eating...killing 2 birds in 1 stone. Actually guys dun like to do housework except for the minority. I too need to work, sometimes I will complain tired and as long as he help me some chores, then I am ok already. Dun quarrel, slowly educate them, things will improve!
  11. If u wanna do this poll, then I tink these companies r not enuff... Actually the most impt thing is u must click with the ID, and the price is reasonable and affordable at yr perspective. Different ppl's views varies. It is the best if u could go and see for yrself and whether u hv the confidence to entrust yr reno project to the company or not. Cheers....
  12. Bo pian leh...my mum says woman must "bu" else will lok restless and age faster cos we are depleted of blood (menses) every mth ma...so aft tat, must nourish back...at the same time must "bu" before hving babies so tat u wil nt be so "xin ku".

  16. Har, I did not noe that Class 95 is meant for old ppl leh... Guess I am getting old liao lor...I like to tune in to Class 95 leh... Bt I hv a great memory la...bt I am a nag.... I get sleepless nites when I tok Royal Jelly at nite. Tat was y now I change it to morning...so tat I have energy to do things in the daytime. I tink signs of aging is : - when u wake up in the morning and u find crow feets / wrinkles start appearing in yr face esp around the eyes. - Yr face is not as "springy" as before - tat is when u find yr face dun absorb powder base so easily... - gets tired easily and unable to keep late nites like before. - Like "auntie" or "uncle" things which u dun like before. Ok....tats all!

  20. I will pack morning sandwiches for him twice every week for breakfast cos I noe sometimes he will be sick of eating the same stuff from his office's nearby hawker. Although I can slp for 1/2 hr more..... And I noe he is very forgetful...cos he ever forgotten to bring the packed breakfast to work...I will place the sandwiches on the dinning table, zoom to shower, then come out immediately before he leaves the house and hand the breakfast to him and lock the door...hahaha and kiss goodbye... And without fail every alternate days I will heat up a bottle of chix essence for him so tat he will be more alert on the way to work... Cos it is heaty, so I cannot do it everyday..... I will whip up a few dishes for him every weekend and once per weekday.... And he is also very good to me cos he will come to fetch me each time I goes out with my friends without fail even though I have friends whom will fetch me back. And everynite when he knock off, he will DEFINITELY call me for sure whether I need any supper..... Although there is a spate of the 20% and 80% trust thingy....these are the little things we hv done for each other and I am still trying to learn from Chunky Monkey on the 100% trust thing....trying very hard......bt not for now....
