Though we ordered thru catalogue, my extendable glass dining table + 4 cushioned chairs delivered,was of good quality. Satisfied n pleased with my good choice, whenever I dine on it...

Agreed with the above folks.. I am a happy customer of mr chew n wife team too. Just 1 thing...need to give him a call a day in advance...to remind him of your appointment... I did for both materials selection day n installation day. On materials selection day, he arrived early... The curtain materials were plenty to choose from... We selected our curtains fast, with his advices... Nearer to installation day...He arrived with his wife promptly... Installation process was neat n clean...cos they brought along a vacuum cleaner... Good service when he ask us if we need his help to put up something... We asked him to drill hole on wall for us...so that we can hang our picture on wall...he did it for us... 4 room hwit flat...day n night curtains for all rooms...FOC 2 pillows...$1.1K... I simply love my curtains...

I got my homo tiles from both shop...Lian Seng Hin and Hafary... Lian seng Hin Balestier customer service good...I stepped in and immediately got someone to serve us... I visited the Hafary at Defu lane...we walked straight in to browse around, took awhile before someone comes to serve us. U can visit another tile shop, Soon Bee Huat at toh guan rd...v v nice showroom!

Their products pricing is reasonable...delivery was prompt. But they r not flexible in their business dealings...Disappointed... We went back to exchange an item for another higher pricing item ( we will top $$), on the 3rd day after the delivery... They weren't flexible in the exchange..so,they lost our business forever n a 2nd purchase of $700, which we go elsewhere to spend! They had forgotten that there r many places to get lightings too lah... Ho ho...

I got my toilet accessories from Poh Seng. This shop was recommended to us by my friend. They loaned my fren & wife a item to measure for their kitchen carpentry Reno... No deposit needed...based on trust... For me, I bought things from them n they were delivered promptly to us. But we needed some other item...so we went back 2nd time to buy. The boss was kind enough to fix up the item for us to take back n install ourselves. Plus point! Also, we found out we needed some other items...we went back 3rd time to exchange the 2 items... The original items were much expensive than the other items we needed. We initially thought we need to get more unwanted items to fit the $ amount. The boss was kind n flexible enough to exchange for us n refunded the excess money for the original items! We need not get unwanted items! I really admired the Poh Seng boss....he knows how to do business.... Unlike Lighting.com.sg....they weren't flexible! They lost our business forever n 2nd visit extra $700 earning which we go elsewhere to spend! Haa...

Thanks for the info, bunnymummy... I am also the washing with running water type. I do agree with SiSi on the pros when entertaining guests...lots of dishes to wash...I dread that too... With dishwasher, CNY or frens gathering or family gatherings..i'm saved! Elba brand...will consider it since it's really cheaper than electrolux n bosch.

Is Bosch better or Electrolux dishwasher better? Which brand lesser water consumption or electricity consumption?

Agree. Star Living furniture v nice. I bought a coffee table from them. But their free delivery applies when u have above $500 purchase. Mine is cash n carry. Should be fine. My mum bought a wardrobe from them too. Prompt delivery. Besides Star Living...I also recommend Hommage at 5/7 Tai Thong Crescent. Near Potong Pasir mrt... It's a catalogue shop. Price reasonable.. I bgt a bed n dining table from Boss Eric.. I also like Ikea!

Hommage is a catalogue shop. U browse thru the catalogues & purchase based on photo & dimensions mentioned in it. Boss Eric is v friendly. Gives sound advices...we chatted with him & he knows his products well. i bought dining table+4 chairs & bed from him. The price he gave me was a steal. Reasonable & affordable. i tried lying-down on alot of brands of mattresses... From Sealy, Slumberland, Dunlopillo, Sweet dreams, King Koil, Magic Koil...etc. Prices for above mattress brands varies alot... Some can go up to $3K-$5K! Wow!! In the end,i bought the Magic Koil latex queen-size mattress & storage bedframe for about $2K. The lying-down comfort w support feeling, feels the same as branded mattresses. Saved me $1K to buy other stuffs for my new home...!

singababa, Maybe u shld have called a day in advance to remind him about appointment time & address? i did so. i recently met up with Mr chew. He arrived on time. He gave quite alot of advises on his curtain materials...plenty to choose from. Patterns lah...material color to match our wall color lah...amount of light that can/cannot pass thru material...day or night or roller blinds...etc. We chose it swiftly with his good advises. Simply love it v much! Cant wait to see the end products! I'm surprise that we need not pay deposit. All based on trust... i wont rush him...just need to call to remind him again on installation day & time ,closer to appointed date. Hopefully, he dun disappoint me.

Hi. To me, a sink is just a sink...brand or no brand doesn't matter... I won't buy a sink more than $200. To me..How I choose a sink... The looks ok..dimension suitable...price reasonable. I bought a matt look, scratch resistant sink with dimension less than 60cm length - $145 at Poh Seng Hardware. Simple as that...cheers!
