  1. Thanks all for the feedback. After speaking to the main contractor, decided will choose the skirting option for practicality. Thankfully quote remains the same.
  2. I'm in the midst of doing some tiling works to the outdoor area. The tiler had suggested doing skirting at the edge. Want to ask if this is commonly done or any particular advantage/disadvantage? Looking at the neighbours, I don't see any of them with skirting. Please help. Thank you.
  3. I tried painting the edge of the plywood. Used nippon wood paint, and painted 3 layers over a period of 1 week, result not what i had hoped for. See photo below (the 2nd photo), the edge is patchy, the wood edge somehow absorb the paint in the end give up and finally found the edging strip to cover it. can refer to my thread for details - http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=42861
  4. any special reason to use this in the garden? to chase away birds?
  5. did DIY shelvings for the storeroom, bought wood planks cut to size. but the edges were rough and cut the hands if not careful. tried sanding and painting the edges, but not much of a use. so went in search of a solution. finally found one and installed it. see photos below. can refer to my thread for details - http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=42861
