Thanks. I have done simple electrical work like this many many years ago when I was a fresh worker. Now just use mouth and talk for a living so maybe a bit rusty. I have checked youtube videos and it seems simple enough. All in, I got more than 20 points and this will save a bit.

I am thinking of changing the switches in my under reno house (currently HDB clipsal). Just wondering, is it better to change myself? Seems to be simply enough. My contractor quoted me $15 to change per switch.

Hey, I am interested in this topic too since I got an offer to get it at $299. Is the flushing bad due to the system or the small "hole" and is it really lousy? Comparing the Arino and the Baron using PUB's WELS certification, the difference is between 3.5L and 3.6L for normal full flush. Does it make a difference? https://app.pub.gov.sg/WELSSP/Product.aspx?p=3623 https://app.pub.gov.sg/WELSSP/Product.aspx?p=16733

I would like to find out from you, how much does it cost to do a laminate wall like yours? Also I saw the black fan and it looks nice. What is the brand and make for this fan and where to buy? Thank you so much!

All the best! I am a Clueless Single Guy starting my reno next week. Also going contractor route, but house is relatively new (5 years old, 4 room). I think it is a lot of times, expectation management. There is a lot of things you can do but there is only so much money. And yes, low maintenance is key for us singles. Less complicated, better. hahaha.

Hi I was quoted $350 for Baron single piece W-888 but currently out of stock country wide and need to wait for China to deliver by mid-end March.. Is this price decent? Arino Caprio was going at $299. Edit: Double checked and the Arino was going at $299. They offered me Inspire brand (Malaysian). Retail at $399 but offered me at $350 also. Are these as good as it can get for the prices?

I am also doing my renovation (after CNY).. I think what you put down is really too generic to nail down any price with the exception of painting (should be around 1.5k) and re-wiring (2k-3k). This is because tiling and bathroom can do many things. My two bathrooms alone will cost more 10k. I am not doing the floors so I am unable to advise.

Usa Kitchen Faucet Thread Size Not Correctly?
LionFlyer replied to cclim11's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
Hi I was planning to purchase this Hansgrohe faucet (http://www.hansgrohe-usa.com/articledetail-talis-e2-talis-e-single-hole-faucet-31612001.html) from Amazon but I stopped after seeing this post. Is it true that the thread size is different and you can't use it in Singapore? Based on the specs, I note it is a 3/8" for the inlet. Edit: I checked the Singapore website and found the similar brochure. It seems the diameter is the same (http://www.hansgrohe.com.sg/articledetail-talis-e2-single-lever-basin-mixer-with-pop-up-waste-set-31612000.html?fsid=&pageid=&q=talis%20E). So is there an issue? -
How Much Cov Have You Paid?

OTP on Buangkok (next to MRT, Atrina), high floor (above 10), below/negative valuation. First appointment 8 Jan. -
Hi, I am planning to get a resale 4 RM HDB (just MOP unit). I have seen the place and the condition of the reno is still quite ok. Is it practical to do partial renovation? Basically, as the condition of the kitchen is generally good, I was thinking of skipping the reno there. I am a single and I won't be doing much cooking anyway. Similarly, is it a good idea to change the aircon as it is just past 5 years? My budget is around 20k excluding furnishings etc. I also don't intend to hack or change the floors and I see my scope as mainly the false ceiling, feature wall (c/w craftstone) and cupboard, 2 x bathrooms (a complete rebuilt), my master bedroom wardrobe.
