  1. SOHOARC had already gotten their HDB license since 2010. The License no is: HB-11-4104Z.
  2. By 'UFO' u mean, a person who impersonates and bluffs? In any case, I reacted this way to these bunch of pple who impersonate as 'customers' and go around blasting other firms and try to solicit business and traffic by bad mouthing these companies and then in turn compliment how good and wonderful their ID, Lesl*e Chu* is...sad and sick... A forum is a forum. There are rules, you dun go around flouting them and harm the reputation of these firms. Especially since they are not even real! After finding out about these scams from this 'Colours-ful' people, I decided to go where they go and sabo them... immature ...hmm maybe but heck they started it first....couldn't get the business in a fair and square way and had to resort to such underhand tactics...geez... I am a true blue Interior Designer, I use the forum to market research and to access myself, or my Company to gain an understanding towards the clients' perspectives. And in a way, I am grateful for the forum, because, I can see where we've gone wrong, what customers really want and at the end of the day, the market benefits. The internet and such forum sites are scary places... can't live with it...can't live without it... all I can say to the homeowners, who like me, also use this forum for research purposes, dun believe everything u see or read, dun let some unjustified comments mislead and confuse you... Use the internet as a superficial research tool and not as a benchmark for assessment. Discerning homeowners should make the right choice by basis of personal interaction and appraisals. Do not engage firms purely based on price competitiveness, engage them because they have something unique and special to offer. Remember that the kind of ID you get are based on your appraisals. Paying peanuts and surely you will get monkeys... then again paying bananas will also get monkeys...ha ha... Bottom line is, good IDs, din worked this long (14yrs for me in this business) and this hard just to let some goofball go around sabo-ing us... be warned goofball...
  3. is it? which salesman u spoke to? how come he disappeared? was it because u r not a genuine customer but rather a staff of colours? tats why the salesman dropped u and not that u had drop them??? Its really sad that companies like colours will resort to such underhand tatics just to lure customers...listen up buddy, the pple will see thru ur pathetic ploy. Nobody is as dumb as you and ur organization.
  4. Design strong meh? saw it on their webpage, looks weak and unappealing leh... How nice, where home1234 goes, u go....u go round thanking home1234 for the 'recommendation' so many time in so many posts for wat? Oh wait its cos u r play acting as customers...sorry sorry i ruined it for u....
  5. by now the smart pple of renotalk has realised tat kennyho and Home1234 r best frens and that they probably run an id firm....
  6. U try getting quote or design from everyone lor. And everyone fail and only ur darling leslie can lor....i strongly recommend tat u stop play acting as a customer to solicit business for yourself or ur darling. This is childish and damaging to other companies' reputation. Start doing proper marketing instead of resorting to such underhand tactics to defame other companies so tat u can get business. It is not doing yourself or 'Leslie Chua's ' reputation any good. You have been either criticising other firm's quote, or their service or their lack of freebies.. or u trick them into sending u their quotes so tat u can under cut their price by doing a lower price. Cheap, pathetic and so unoriginal...
  7. wah u very active pushing for this leslie chua guy hor? see ur posts here n there recommending him...how abt putting up some of ur home pics to see?
  8. Wow! Did they charge you for their alignment work? But this Fanco is not commonly found right? Hardly seem it ard.
  9. Here's the thing, the fans were purchased from a reselling company like lighting shop or fan shop. They have no direct selling arm (not that I have heard of). Of course we went thru the procedure of calling the company that sold it to us. But he said warranty in place and told us to get in contact with E****k instead... Well you know the rest of the story liao. What really bugs me is that the pushing of responsibilites from reseller to wholesaler. Makes me wonder if other 'local' brands are like this...bullsh*t warranty.
  10. Well it depends on the complexity of per view. If within a single view and you want to see alot of things then it will be quite expensive ard 200 per view. However i think your focus of looking for an ID should be based on these points (and not just someone who draws for you): 1) total concept ie: style and colour scheme 2) estimated budget 3) carpentry detail drawings (if u dun get this, it will be pointless cos all the detail information is not translated to the carpenter, a perspective drawing may not be enough) 4) shopping for things like lights, curtains, tiles etc etc... and giving advice (making sure that everything fits, both aesthetically and functionally....u dun want to be stuck with a 2000 dollars king size that wouldn't fit) But if all you need is someone to draw out your concepts and translate them so that you can explain to your contractor/s then ignore the pointers. Her fees are starting from $80 onwards...
  11. Hi, you may consider this person, Cheryl. She is actually an interior designer drawing freelance drawings for alot of renovation and contracting firms (like an outsource service provider) and she does direct owners too. She uses licensed 3D software. PM me if u require her number.
  12. Just wanna warn everyone of a particular brand of ceiling fan sold commonly in lighting shops, fan shops. It starts with 'E' & ends with 'K', local brand. Let me share my experiece with you all. Purchased fan from a fan shop and was told we could install the fans with the help of our electrical contractor. So full payment was made on the spot and we waited for the delivery. When it came, it was short of 2 regulators( the knob that adjusts the speed of the fan) (we bought 3 fans) and the light covers for 2 of the sets were wrong, instead of giving us the plain ones, they gave us ornate ones. So we called up to get it change. It took more than a week to get them to resolve the 1st issue. Subsequently we realised that the fans were turning at different speeds (even though the were turn on at the same number on the regulators) and that the new fans were making 'rickety' noises. So again we called them up only to be told that our warranty does not cover the workman charge needed to fix the problem. According to them the fan blade's alignment was off and needed adjusting. I challenged them and said why I should pay these sum (only $70) when its under warranty. The reply was that the installation was done by an inexperienced electrician. Now as far as I know, our electrician has installed fans for my other homes and none of these had ever happened. So I don't think he is not experienced. I also explained that it is not the amount that mattered. It was the principle of things. Their warranty is bullsh*t. Eventually we agreed to pay and they did arranged someone down to fix the problems. We did not recieve any invoice from them and thus didn't paid much attention to the $70 that was quoted earlier. However recently their office girl called me and told me to make payment and I said that I had not recieved any advice to pay and asked her to fax over to my company. That was 4 days ago. Today as I was busy with another phone call, my colleague helped me to answer their call and eventhough we said that we'll release the payment to them, they were extremely rude and felt that I was playing 'hide n seek' with them when I didn't answer their call. They even said that they'll send someone to go to my office/home to wait for me. Even worse, they called a second time a while later and bluffed that they were from 'Starh*b' thinking I was going to avoid their call (how childish). The moment I answered the call, the very rude girl blabbered off non stop about me avoiding them, not paying up etc. Incredible!!?? Conclusion: dun use them... even if u die from the heat... you're better off with heat and the the paper fan. I told my electrician to tear the fans down tomorrow. What good are the fans when the warranty is useless. I dun wan to risk anyone sitting below or ard them.
